All 70 accommodations are designed for families--large and small.
Choose your own cottage or family suite and leave all the meals, daily housekeeping, and entertainment to us. Unlike most family resorts, virtually all our accommodations are family friendly by design with separate parents' bedrooms with queen or king bed and 1-4 bedrooms for children or extended family reunions.. Far from your standard "hotel room," almost all our cottages and suites feature living rooms, screened porches, and kitchenette or in-room microwaves and a fridge. Although with our four star meals, who needs a fridge when we do all the cooking for you!
Cozy, simple comfort in the New England tradition. Private cottages. Inn & guesthouse suites.
The Tyler Place's 70 units are tucked here and there along the lakeshore, the woods, meadows and lawns. They offer an historic Vermont camp-community feel ...without the tents! Guests have the option of staying in private family cottages or suites. Individual housing for single families are available along with larger spaces for family reuions or friends to share.
The Tyler Place also features a rambling, country Inn with a separate sleeping wing with 12 family suites and studios--all with screened porches. Centrally located near the Children's Playhouse and the Junior Clubhouse, the Inn Lounges, Decks, Porches and Dining Room overlook Edwards' Bay, gardens, and "Lovers' Lane" lawn where our grandchildren's great-great grandparents met in 1884.
Beautiful setting -- clean and comfortable cottages -- friendly, helpful staff, gourmet food -- what more could you want? It's heaven for kids -- pools, banana boats, trampoline, movies, indoor and outdoor pools - everything you can think of - and the hours between 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. are spent with kids their own age, supervised by staff. Adults eat gourmet meals (without children) and have many activities: tennis, biking, water sports, fitness classes, etc. ” — S, Woburn, MA, Week of September 5, 2009, Carriage House II
Tyler Family Resort - and yes, this is a resort for families. But this is a vacation extraordinaire for mommy. Not a meal to cook, a dish to clean, a bed to make or shirt to wash. The walk from our cottage to the Inn for meals provided lots of time for my daughter and I to sing silly songs, laugh at the chipmunks crossing our path and ponder where moths sleep at night. But most of all, it helped make some extra room for those great Tyler cookies! ” — B & J, Woodbury, NJ, Week of August 15, 2009, Ferncroft B
Comment from Owen (7): Wouldn't it be great if our cottage was our 'real' house?" Also from Owen: "Hummy & Ling-wu (his stuffed animals) are sad to leave Tyler Place". ” — N & R, Lexington, MA, Week of June 27, 2009, Goldeneye
We had a great time! My kids loved their groups, especially my Pre-Teen daughter. The food with excellent! (I like to cook and usually on vacation I start to miss my own cooking, but that has not happened here!). The maid service in our cottage is outstanding and has made the vacation even so much more enjoyable. ” — R & J, Needham, MA, Week of July 4, 2009, Kingfisher
