'07 was our first year. In order to fully appreciate the Tyler family resort, you have to return the following year -- in '08 it felt like a high school reunion! We had a marvelous time and our eight-year-old loved the independence that she can't have anywhere else! Thanks for a great family vacation! ” — M & C, Manchester, NH, Inn #2 — 2008
21 meals without kids. Kids always happy and entertained = one great break for all. Thank you. ” — R & A, Mendham, NJ, Elmwood West — 2008

A highlight of our year. Our 7-year old wants to live here forever. ” — D & K, Princeton, NJ, Goose — 2008
A lot of the success of our first week at Tyler Place was related to two things: the other guests and the staff. The other guests are very nice people and allow us to easily integrate into their circles of friends and activities. The staff is exceptional for their talents, can-do attitude and willingness to go he extra mile" to make good things better and bad things (like rain) quite tolerable. ” — T & M, Radnor, PA, Ferncroft B — 2008
A perfect blend of activities for adults, kids and families and the food is to die for! When people say there is no customer service anymore, they are not talking about Tyler Place. TP should give lessons to other businesses. ” — D & P, Mahwah, NJ, Inn #3 — 2008
A variety of activities. The diversity of the amount of things to do/or not to do. Excellent staff -- makes TP the best place! Excellent food -- mind-boggling great meals -- 5-star! ” — E & D, Devon, PA, Winnie's — 2008
A very unique resort. One of the only in the U.S. that caters to children under 4 years old. Being parents of a 17 month old and almost 3 year old, we desperately needed a true vacation. Our days were filled with lazy afternoons and hammocks and hot tubs, knowing our children were in excellent hands and having a ball. ” — B & K, Diplomat, APO, AE, Franklin House — 2008

After 10 years, The Tyler Place remains our sanctuary to relax, refresh and rejuvenate. This year was just as marvelous as our very first week here. Thank you for making our stay memorable, our stomachs full and our network of friends ever increasing. ” — M & P, Bedford, MA, Inn #103 — 2008

After 75 years, you've got a formula for perfection! Our second summer as a family was even more fun than the first! I loved being a kid at The Tyler Place and being a grownup here is tons of fun as well, especially watching my daughter make a best friend for the week. ” — M & S, Montclair, NJ, Inn #101 — 2008
After a two-year hiatus, we returned to Tyler Place for our 8th visit to Highgate Springs. As usual, we all had an excellent time. The kids, a little older now, were that much more independent, but this only seemed to make them enjoy it more. We parents enjoyed the superb mix of athletics and entertainment, but even more important than that, we once again found ourselves immersed in that, We've just met these people but we seem to have known them for ever". That is a definite characteristic of Tyler Place. Keep up the good work. ” — D & I, Brooklyn, NY, Carriage House IV — 2008
After being here six years, we still find The Tyler Place and the staff to be impressive. We are just diehard fans and already look forward to year #7. My children have (and continue) to grow up here and my 10-year old wants to be a counselor someday. I can't think of a better endorsement than that! ” — J & S, Marlton, NJ, Sandpiper — 2008

All around great place with free time for adults and great times for children. ” — J & M, Babylon, NY, Mallard — 2008
All the rain did not dampen this week! Seemed to bring people closer. Lots of conversation, happy faces. Our son is aging out" this year. We cannot fathom figuring out a family vacation for next summer after nine years of T.P. Tyler Place has been a magical experience -- we recommend Tyler Place to everyone we know. All is not lost yet. A group of "us" with kids who are aging out may be back in 2009! The kids want to continue the tradition of T.P. and we parents want the total relaxation, pleasure and friendship of Tyler Place. Here's to 2009! Oh, to live on Sugar Mountain - don't let your children turn 16! ” — P & W, Ivyland, PA, Farmhouse South — 2008
Always a terrific vacation to unwind with (and without!) the kids. We enjoy the variety of activities so much at the resort, we really never, ever need to leave. Even more so, we enjoy the friendship of returning families every year we e-join" to share time together from all over the country. Our children are now older, having grown up at The Tyler Place over the years. They've remained welcome year after year, however, and your acceptance of them as "youngest adults" makes them more appreciative of the family vacation. I/we can't think of many families still taking a vacation with their 17 and 18 year old children -- but we do it because this works! ” — D & L, Cheshire, CT, Farmhouse Down — 2008
Always love The Tyler Place - great experience for the kids and super guests to spend time with! ” — S & D, Bristow, VA, Goose — 2008

An outstanding family vacation! The kids were excited to participate in their groups and couldn't wait to join them. Personally, mom and dad did activities that truly were outstanding and challenging! Even a rainy week didn't stop the fun or dampen the staff's enthusiasm. ” — C & L, Bridgewater, NJ, Inn #101 — 2008
Andrea B. - phenomenal massage; great lady and asset to The Tyler Place. Nature Dave - WOW! Very knowledgeable and terrific with kids. Having a one-on-one counselor made all the difference in the world. We were able to relax for the first time in two years. ” — M & C, Tucson, AZ, Sandpiper — 2008

Another fantastic year. We look forward all year to relaxing at Tyler Place. My almost 4-year old has been talking about her
ed house" and camp since January and couldn't wait to get to camp every day. She even got brave enough to try the slide at the indoor pool. It's great to let her experience things she may not get to experience elsewhere. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and we feel so rested after leaving. My daughter even wants to live here. Again, another excellent year. ” — K & M, Hillsborough, NJ, Ferncroft B — 2008
Another great summer at T.P. We talk about Tyler Place all year and look forward to it so our kids can't imagine summer without it. Thanks again! ” — C & E, Larchmont, NY, Champlain — 2008
Another great week (even in the rain). There are few resorts that welcome 2-month olds with open arms. There are few resorts that keep the whole family busy -- rain or shine. There are very few resorts that can check in a family with young children at 5:20 p.m. on Saturday and get them to dinner by 6:30 p.m. Thanks for being outstanding (and giving us a break). ” — D & K, New York, NY, Gander — 2008

As my kids have moved through the various groups (now I have a Pre-teen and a Teen), I continue to be impressed with the sense of belonging they have at The Tyler Place community. She made an effort to get us involved & she was a great canoe trip guide. Quintin Tyler made an extra effort to invite me to the golf outing & the day was great. The bar/lounge staff was great. Kate, Hector, Walt & Becky were each personable & hard working. Becky & Walt went above & beyond any level of service I could have expected. ” — M & R, Riverview, FL, Inn #4 — 2008

I love hearing about what the kids did at pickup time. I really enjoyed the easy-going attitude/atmosphere. For example, when we used sports equipment, we just walked up and asked for what we wanted -- no formal check-out" or forms to sign. That was great. We were really impressed by the attentiveness and enthusiasm of the childcare staff. They were fabulous. ” — K & K, Virginia Beach, VA, Franklin House I — 2008
I repeatedly tell people who ask about our vacation at Tyler Place, It's my favorite week of the year!!" Thanks again for another great week. ” — T & K, Roxbury, MA, Tyler South — 2008
I think that the single thing that impressed me the most (among many, many other positive things) was the can-do-anything" attitude shown by all of the staff members that I encountered. Without exception, everyone who works here seemed so eager to make my family's stay perfect. This attitude seems so lacking elsewhere these days, so it was a wonderful thing to encounter here. ” — K & M, Mohomet, IL, Mallard — 2008
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. It is the perfect formula for a single man with two boys. The three of us had fun and met great new people. Everybody -- guests, counselors, staff -- were friendly. It was great to be back after a 4-year break. We had been here seven years in a row starting when our son was 3 1/2. Then we took four years off. Our son is now 14 1/2 -- was in the teen group. He had a blast. We got to have a second honeymoon! It was the best possible way for our family to have the perfect vacation. It was our first year and we had high expectations based on other guests' comments - what we read on trip advisor. Well, our experience definitely lived up to all the great things others said. As foodies, it was an added bonus that the food was as delicious as it was! The staff is extremely accommodating -- their service attitude surpassed what we've experienced in 5-star resorts! It's impossible not to enjoy your stay at The Tyler Place. The Tyler family has perfected the family vacation. The number and variety of activities for kids and adults is mind-boggling. The kids programs are exceptionally well run and staffed by counselors who go out of their way to ensure that each child is having fun. For the fourth year in a row, nonstop fun activities for the children allowed us to enjoy ourselves secure in the knowledge that our kids were having a great time, too. Leaving a 4-year old in a new place is almost as scary for the parent as it is for the child. The counselors here put everyone at ease. Thanks for giving us a run for the money. ” — A & A, Alexandria, VA, Woodduck — 2008

Most relaxing vacation of my adult life. On the way there, I told my wife that if The Tyler Place came through on even half of the things in the brochure, it would be fantastic. My family was the beneficiary of a last-minute cancellation by another family. During the prior part of our vacation, my twins were (figuratively speaking) at war. Now that our kids are a bit older, and have six years of Tyler Place under their belts, we have the afternoons to ourselves because they know the "[can't read this]" and have their own list of things they want to do. I can always count on the attention of the waterfront staff to ensure the kids' safety as they navigate these first independent steps. ” — L & I, Yonkers, NY, Farmhouse West — 2008
On Friday night, our 7-year old asked, can we stay another week?" We love watching the growth in our kids from year to year. And our 11-year-old has had the chance to take up tennis and had his first lessons without the logistical challenges of home. Even when the weather does not cooperate, there is plenty of space on the sofa in front of the fire. The whole concept just works so well for families and we'd miss seeing everyone next year. All of the Tyler family and most of the staff are so friendly and welcoming -- seems unusual for a family-run resort to be so incredibly well run. So kudos to all! ” — A & P, Marietta, GA, Davies — 2008
One of the (many!) things we love about The Tyler Place is the way the activities grow as our children have grown. For every age group they have activities that kids really love and that are certainly not the everyday things we do at home! Our children really enjoyed themselves here. The Tyler Place has the perfect recipe for a family vacation - especially for us - a family returning to the U.S. from overseas: comfortable accommodations, activities for all ages, friendly and caring staff and incredible Vermont cooking. We were particularly pleased that this was truly all-inclusive". What a relief not to be charged left and right for what would be considered "extras" at many resorts (e.g., all-you-can-eat meals, use of watercraft, sports equipment, and an open beverage service at bonfire night). It rained most of our week, but we barely noticed, there were so many options and so much fun to be had. Thanks for the great welcome home to America! ” — P & K, Laconia, NH, Goldeneye — 2008

The Tyler Place maintains a high service level all the time. Food and drinks are consistently great, even cheeseboard on the Champagne Cruise, when it would be easy to cut corners. Tyler Place is a 10! Kids and parents take on things they might not otherwise. My 5-year-old left riding a two-wheeler and loving the banana boat. ” — J & K, Great Falls, VA, Mrs. T's — 2008
The Tyler Place might well be called (we believe that it should be) the perfect family vacation spot. All family members find what they want here. Kids eat with kids (and kid food). Adults eat with a collegial group of adults and the food is quite good. The facilities are adequate for twice the number and there is never a wait for a sail boat or a tennis court. The counselors to kids ratio is great and you attract a great group of counselors. The list of activities is breathtaking and parents get the right amount of time with their kids and for themselves. The worst part about coming to The Tyler Place is leaving. Leaving is bearable only because we know we'll be back. Starting today, 51 weeks and counting. See you next year! ” — E & L, Florence, KY, Elmwood West — 2008
There are many great things about this place, but one of them is the sense of independence the kids have here. We arrive, claim bicycles, and then they're off -- exploring the grounds, making new friends and enjoying a degree of freedom that they don't often get back home. ” — R & S, Wilmette, IL, Tyler South — 2008

It's paradise to us. A million thanks. ” — R & M, Fairfield, CT, Davies — 2008
This is a vegetarian's heaven! The food is fabulous! This is the first year I've primarily hung out and read novels rather than participating and I had a fabulous time doing practically nothing! As soon as we leave, the kids are asking when are we coming back! ” — A & K, Poughkeepsie, NY, Carriage House I — 2008
This is our fifth year coming to Tyler Place and we were even more impressed this year with the friendliness and resourcefulness of the staff. The weather didn't cooperate and we had a number of days of steady rain. The kids counselors adapted extremely well and most of the activities went ahead anyhow (indoor swimming or lakefront activities) or were switched with the other evening activities. The adult activities were plentiful and varied enough that we were only modestly affected by the weather. ” — H & B, Evanston, IL, Willow — 2008
This is our fourth year and this year our 4 1/2-year-old literally ran from our cottage to group on Saturday evening -- it could have been a commercial for Tyler Place. ” — R & L, Arlington, VA, Gander — 2008
This is our second year, and it was just as wonderful this time around. Last year we stayed for 5 days. This year 7 and next year we want to expand to 10 days. This is the perfect vacation for those with children under the 3rd and 4th grade. It's the perfect place for parents to de-stress and kids have the time of their lives. I was worried we would be vacationing with a lot of yuppies and was pleasantly surprised to find the other guests to be down-to-earth parents thoroughly enjoying The Tyler Place experience. The staff, food and activities were first rate. We will highly recommend T.P. to all of our friends and colleagues. ” — A & E, Haverhill, MA, Ferncroft D — 2008

This place is great! Summer camp for the whole family! I told my husband I wanted to live here. He said, Of course you do. You're not cooking, cleaning, working or watching our child nearly as much as you do at home! ” — B & J, Flemington, NJ, Quail — 2008
This was a vacation the entire family enjoyed! We were able to relax and enjoy each other as a couple, knowing that our boys were happy and entertained. Even with rainy weather, there was still plenty to do. We took a two-person canoe on the Missisquoi trip and we're still married. Ha! Ha! The boys shared a room, slept through the night and we had to wake them each morning -- no small feat! Thank you, thank you, and thank you for a phenomenal stay! ” — G & K, Redding, CT, Carriage House III — 2008
This was absolutely one of the best vacations we have had. The kids (daughter, 7 & son, 5) had a wonderful time. Our baby (19 mos.) loved Elizabeth, his Parents' Helper and my husband and I were able to reconnect in a way we haven't in years. We had intended this vacation to be a once in a lifetime sort of trip, but all five of us are looking forward to returning next year. Our seven-year-old has offered to contribute her entire year's allowance to help pay for it. Even though two of us were out of circulation for two days with a virus, it was still probably our best vacation ever. ” — D & A, Edmond, OK, Franklin House I — 2008
This was another fantastic vacation at Tyler Place (our second year). Our twins keep chanting the Junior Midgets song and recalling how much fun they had at the Carnival, on the hay ride and playing in the Playhouse. For our part, we enjoyed challenging ourselves with new activities like skeet shooting and wall climbing and meeting other friendly guests at dinner and spending quiet time together. ” — A, Albuquerque, NM, Ferncroft C — 2008
This was one of the most enjoyable weeks we have had as a family in a very long time. The week offered so much for each one of us -- adults and kids alike! Each of us had a good time doing the things we enjoyed separately and then together as a family in the afternoons and evenings. The environment is warm and friendly and we have all made friends that we can't bear to leave, but will look forward to seeing again next summer! It's a wonderful place and I can't imagine not coming back again! ” — B & K, Greensboro, NC, Inn #103 — 2008

This was our first visit here and we loved all of it. We had read a lot of great reviews but even so, it exceeded our expectations. The setting is spectacular, the staff is great, there is an amazing quality and variety of offerings -- but most importantly for us is the children's program, which is without a doubt the best we have ever seen. We have had a wonderful week as always. I would love to see some new activities, if possible. We just love The Tyler Place. We look forward to this week out of all of the other 51 weeks of the year. I was reminded again this year about how great the food is. For the whole week, the family ate food that tasted fresh with awesome vegetables and homemade salad dressing. Even the "junk" food tasted wholesome and real, not processed. On another note, this year we discussed the joy of the "back ways", the nature trails with the gorgeous views. What greater relaxation is there in life than lying on a hammock with views of Lake Champlain, with beautiful music accompanying the scene? It's truly a perfect tonic to our stressed out lives. ” — J & L, Swarthmore, PA, Laura — 2008
We just love Tyler Place. This was our second year and it was better than the last. Great food, great accommodations and great staff! We will be back and hopefully some day we will have our own children to bring as well! We were with our family of 12 and enjoyed every bit of it. ” — C & S, Lithia, FL, Bluebill — 2008
We look forward to our time here more and more each year. In fact, the Tyler Place has really begun to feel like our second home. We love everything from the activities to the friends that we've made. Our kids LOVED going to camp every day and the counselors were fantastic. My daughter, (Sr. Midget), was completely in love with her counselor, Kaili. I've never seen her get so attached to someone and look so forward to seeing her. We love the easy, laid-back atmosphere you provide. I can be at my own pace, from reading all morning in the lounge, sipping coffee or a competitive tennis match. I like that there are activities on or away from the property. The staff is always accommodating. Thank you for five great years. ” — M & T, Tyngsboro, MA, Farmhouse Down — 2008
We love the kids' camp programs, the pools, the cocktail bar (with no kids), the breakfasts, the time to meet other guests. It's a great week for us. ” — B & R, Marblehead, MA, Inn #104 — 2008
We love the opportunity to rest, relax and do nothing if we choose. We like that there's no pressure to join activities and that activities are run by enthusiastic, skilled people when we do join in on one. We really, really appreciate that there are constant improvements being made to facilities and grounds, both major and minor (like plumbing in our cabin or lighting on the clubhouse.). ” — G & L, Irvington, NY, Gander — 2008
We love the total concept, the great friends we met. We love the food! Good kid time and great parent time. ” — R & K, Malvern, PA, Davies — 2008

We loved knowing that our children were in good hands, getting great meals and enjoying their days in a safe environment. We loved our week. You and the staff did a wonderful job working around the weather! ” — R & E, Wayland, MA, Carriage House II — 2008
We loved the balance of time together as a family and time alone as a couple. We came here with a 2-month old. People couldn't believe we could go on vacation with a 2-month old baby. We told them that The Tyler Place was the only place we would go with such a young baby. This was our second time here and yet again, The Tyler Place exceeded our expectations. Thanks for a great vacation. ” — D & L, Hyde Park, MD, Hickory — 2008

We really value our time at The Tyler Place. This is one of two weeks a year that our son is free of doctors, nurses and therapists. He is free to be a child. Thank you! I really enjoyed the lake breezes this season. And, we've reinvented ourselves: tennis and kayaking this time around. ” — J & L, Cherry Hill, NJ, Mrs. T's — 2008
We really worried about this year's stay. As you know, my partner was diagnosed with breast cancer in September and we had no idea what the year was going to bring. You were all so wonderful to us in every single way. The kitchen made wonderful, healthy meals for her; the other guests were amazingly sensitive and sweet and for me this was a welcome break from a tough year. We are so glad we came! Many thanks for doing what you do so well, year after year. ” — S & R, New York, NY, Teal — 2008
We start counting down the days to Tyler Place as soon as we drive off the site. It is by far the best vacation we have ever taken. We were skeptical before we came here, thinking this place is too good to be true. But when we got here we were very pleasantly surprised. The Tyler Place is a perfect balance between family and adult time. Our boys had a great time and we felt comfortable leaving them with our Parent Helper and we got some much-needed adult time. We will be back!! ” — T & M, Lancaster, PA, Carriage House III — 2008
We were so pleased and surprised at the variety of activities, food and fun. Our 4-year old rode a pony, planted a flower, visited a tipi, learned a song, and made beautiful art projects. He had so much fun and was so proud of the new things he did. And we relaxed and took walks and ate dinner with adult conversation. Hmmm who got spoiled more? ” — J & A, Grays Lake, IL, Inn #103 — 2008
We were surprised by your beautiful (more than beautiful) and well maintained property, and good shape of the courts, Dock, pool, etc. Keep them like this! We're amazed again this year by how organized and clean every aspect of camp was. The staff is always ready and waiting to assist you. Everyone is pleasant and seems happy to be doing their jobs. What a vacation! And it really, truly is a vacation. Our kids had the time of their lives and we got to relax, exercise, play, eat amazing food and feel like we are kids away at camp, too. You guys really get it. Next year, I look forward to trying some of the scheduled events I didn't get to this year. *Please tell Chad thank you for The Six Secret Chairs". I spent a lot of time there reading! ” — M & M, Roslyn, NY, Canvasback — 2008
What a wonderful experience we had as first-time guests to The Tyler Place! The variety of activities offered was top notch. There is something for everyone. We all had a wonderful time and can't wait to come back again next year. Thank you for a wonderful family vacation! ” — A & L, Parker, CO, Ferncroft D — 2008
What a wonderful place! This is a dream vacation for our Sr. Midget. She enjoyed the variety of outdoor activities, all of her new friends and the great counselors. We enjoyed activities like canoeing, kayaking - that we hadn't done for such a long time. There just isn't any place like this! When I asked my 4-year old daughter if she had a good time here, she said, 'I'd like to live here. There are a lot of frogs.' ” — B & S, Richmond, VA, Partridge II — 2008
What is not to like?! The entire staff here works harder than humanly possible to make sure the entire family has a total blast! It's so great that the grown-ups can act like kids again and enjoy themselves and each other, apparent in the belly laughs, heard throughout the day regardless of whether you're at the dock, doing low ropes or just dining. The kids are so happy and well cared for and we really love and appreciate being able to come here! ” — M & M, Verona, WI, Farmhouse West — 2008
What makes T.P. work? Everything!!! A staff second to none, great kids programs, adult activities and a balance of family time and grown up time. ” — I & K, Duvall, WA, Farmhouse West — 2008

What we love most about The Tyler Place (besides the beautiful setting, the childcare and the wonderful staff) is that we can have whatever kind of vacation we need that year: active or restful, social or private. ” — M & A, Jersey City, NJ, Kingfisher — 2008
When we first discovered The Tyler Place in 1988, we came up with our then Jr. Midget. Never did we think that 20 years later we'd still be coming. The Jr. Midget is now an adult who comes for the fishing -- his older sister and her seven-year-old have been coming for the last five years. I see many Tyler summers ahead. The best quote of the week from my grandson, 'do you realize I haven't played with my Nintendo all week? ” — J & L, Troy, NY, Franklin House II — 2008
When you come to Tyler Place, you meet families you want to keep as friends for life. There's no better place to do things as a family, as a couple and on your own, all on the same trip. Tyler Place is everything you want it to be, and so much more. ” — M & A, Cincinnati, OH, Carriage House II — 2008

Wow! What a wonderful vacation! This highly anticipated trip was better than we even imagined. We felt right at home the first night. Our three children enjoyed their groups immediately. It was wonderful to see our children getting to participate in activities that they can't do at home -- wall climbing, pony rides, trampoline, fishing. What wonderful memories they will have! Their counselors were so warm and friendly. We loved the adult activities, but our favorite part was meeting and bonding with the other guests. Thanks for all the happy memories and see you next year! ” — S & S, Cornwall, Champlain — 2008
