The Tree House at The Tyler Place Family Resort

The Tyler Place

Nature and the outdoors are central to Tyler Place Family Resort vacations. Our Vermont location on a mile of private, undeveloped lakeshore offers adults to the youngest children a natural, outdoor playground to relax and unwind and connect with the environment.
You and your children will have boundless opportunities to commune with nature in our unspoiled corner of Vermont. Nature and outdoor activities include guided canoe trips in the National Wildlife Refuge, hiking and bicycle trips, shoreline and garden tours, fishing, walking trails and hiking. Visit nearby Vermont and Quebec organic farms, apple orchards, wineries and herb gardens; plant a tree or taste a ripe tomato right off the vine in our Children's Organic Garden. However you choose to spend your day, you'll be surrounded by green, and birdsong, and the lap of water, memories of which will echo for days after you leave The Tyler Place Family Resort.

"We couldn't believe how knowledgeable your staff is about the nature & history of this area. I didn't learn the importance of the gunboat at the Smithsonian, but here. You have Christopher telling us about nature and birds and Dave telling us logs in your pond are becoming petrified rocks. Kids catching grasshopper shells & snakes and bullfrogs. Most resorts only let you look at God's beauty. You hire people who can explain it to adults and kids giving depth to our vacation. Thank you." -A & L, Waltham, MA, McGlynn, 8/12-8/19. 2006

"What an amazing week! We can't imagine how it could be better. Seven days of sun, nature, water sports, NO TV! No phone and time with family - what could be better?! Thanks so much." -B & E, Alexandria, VA, Stork, 8/04-8/11. 2007

"Had a fabulous time. The weather was amazing which led to us doing a lot more outdoor activities, which we loved." -D & L, Potomac, MD, Inn #101, 8/12-8/19. 2006

"We think of Tyler Place as a retreat from city life. It is a very relaxing place to be for one week in the summer. We all are looking forward to returning next year." -M & E, New York, NY, Inn #117-118, 8/26-9/02. 2006

"The Tyler Place offers family fun. The children's programs are well thought out and executed and the young children's program is unique in its range and accessibility. There is plenty of outdoor-oriented activity for parents and the setting is wonderful. Tyler Place makes it possible to put the term 'family vacation' in a description other than an oxymoron." -R & A, Bronxville, NY, Whistler, 8/26-9/02. 2006
