"Our stay was exceptional. Kids' activities were excellent, adult activities were excellent and the accommodations (food, staff, etc.) were excellent, but none of those are what's going to bring us back. The one thing I noticed, which is very special, is the passion behind this from Chad Tyler. There is a special twinkle in his eye when he replays the history of The Tyler Place to me. This is what separates The Tyler Place from everyone else. For my wife, it's the above-mentioned items. For me, anyone that believes as deeply as this family does in what they do has got my support. "During one of our 20 relaxing (and yummy) meals together, we discussed whether there was anything we would change about The Tyler Place and neither of us could think of anything. With two young kids, we find our week to be an ideal balance of couple time, family time and time to ourselves and our 5-year old decided we should live at T.P. year round! The Front Desk staff is exceptional, especially Sally - she always goes out of her way to be extra helpful. I inquired about the lamps on the screen porch and she took time to locate information on the company that made them, where they could be purchsed, etc. No matter what the request, the staff responds prompty and are just the nicest people!" "The air conditioning units were heaven considering the heat and humidity this week. The Jr. Midget staff was wonderfully adept at transitioning my/our son from the "Mommy don't go" phase to "I'm ready for some fun". The listing of other places to visit was very helpful. We visited Burlington (great city) and Ben & Jerry's. Carman Brook Farm was awesome! Your ability to provide leisure time for adults while at the same time providing meaningful activities for even the youngest children (enough to make parents feel not the least bit guilty) makes you the BEST family vacation place ever!" "I'm not sure who it is who reviews all these surveys but let me say that every one of us looks forward all year to this trip. Our kids get such encouragement to try new activities or build their skills - they forge all these new relationships with peers, other parents, "neighbors" and the staff. I have never seen such depth and breadth of pleasantness and professionalism and an air of freshness and enthusiasm - as in your staff. They are cheery and gungho - without being fake or forced and do a lot to reinforce the sense that life is pretty darned good. For me, being here is such a treat - the above-mentioned staff; the great meals with all these wonderful, interesting people from all over when time just flies - and we're always shocked "Oh my Gosh! - time to pick up the kids!!" anew…the setting is glorious and invigorating. I like the tube swing, the gardens, the hammocks, the water. I feel like we're giving our family a series of priceless memories. It's difficult to put into words. Another thing that must be unique here is how you can, as a grown person, try new activities yourself, just as if you were a kid again. You connect again to that kind of freedom to explore; you hop on a bike with some friends and say, "Let's go to Canada !!" The anticipation of getting up on that ski and the sound of that boat, for example, are as rich as they were when I was a kid and for me the whole week is that way. We had our doubts about Charlie visting as an "adult" this year (at age 16) but he kept busy and seemed to enjoy being treated as a grown-up for once.
