The Tyler Place is truly unique! ” — GB, VT, Week of January 1, 2010, Ferncroft
You have a great place. Wish we had found it sooner! Our kids had their best vacation ever!!! But the real secret is that we did, too (don't tell the kids). The food was absolutely fantastic. We arrived late on Monday night and were greeted with two baskets of food that had been put aside for us. What a thoughtful welcome for hungry travelers. It set the tone for the great, cheerful service that we received. The personal touch is what sets The Tyler Place apart from and ahead of the finest vacation destinations anywhere. We're not sure how we will do it, but we will be back. ” — A & J, Jones Creek, GA, Week of May 28, 2010, Hickory
The Tyler Place facilitates the perfect balance one needs for a rejuvenating vacation -- the right amount of fun, activities and the right amount of recovery time, sitting by the fire, the bar or enjoying a drink and a quiet meal. You would be hard-pressed to top what you are doing now, and there would be no need. Keep it up! Great job hiring and training the staff; all smiles, genuinely happy personalities. You should publish your screening methods! M & S, Milford, CT, Quail, 5/31-6/5/2010 ” — M & S, Milford, CT, Week of May 31, 2010, Quail
The food is great (too good). The kids were excited daily for their activities. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.

— J & S, Tarrytown, NJ, Week of May 31, 2010, Inn #101
The staff is outstanding! Although we have no children of our own (yet…), we observed how wonderful they are with the different age groups and look forward to coming back with our family for years to come! The Tyler family was more than welcoming! It was nice to meet and see the faces of people who have created such a relaxing vacation resort! Thank you! ” — M & K, West Haven, CT, Week of May 31, 2010, Inn #117-118
We appreciate it that you're free to join -- or not join - as many activities as you like. We literally did nothing for two days and that was exactly what we needed. Beautiful setting, great food and the staff (especially those who took care of the little ones) were amazing. ” — C & S, Alexandria, VA, Week of May 31, 2010, Redhead
Excellent concept that lived up to our expectations! It was a great balance of alone time (hubby and I would do our own thing/activities), time as a family and then couple/adult time. It was a wonderful, stress-free vacation! Would be happy to recommend The Tyler Place!!! Can't wait for next year!! ” — G & J, Ottawa, Ontario, Week of May 31, 2010, Inn #4
Our Tyler Place holiday has been the best vacation we have had with our daughter (2-1/2 years old) and maybe the best we've had even before she was born. Everything met or exceeded our expectations. Staff is fabulous. Facilities are top notch. Food was lovely, even though the weather was not great overall. We would absolutely return next year if we lived in the U.S., but as we are headed back to our permanent residence in England, we are unsure if we can make the long trip (expensive flights). But we would love to and we will be raving about this place to everyone we know! Thanks you so much! ” — D & H, Princeton, NJ, Week of May 31, 2010, Inn #103
We searched the entire country and beyond to find a truly family-friendly vacation spot. And by family-friendly, we mean a place where each member of our family would be rested, relaxed and thrilled! The Tyler Place delivered. Even with three rainy days out of five, we still had an adventure-filled, exciting, yet somehow relaxing vacation. In the words of our five-year-old, we'll ‘remember this our whole life!’ Can't wait for next year. ” — M & J, Saco, ME, Week of May 31, 2010, Bayview
The Tyler Place exceeded our expectations. It's a vacation you dream about giving your kids. Every detail (truly!) is taken care of - so you can just enjoy your time. It's hard to imagine a better vacation for families with young kids. ” — D & A, Arlington, VA, Week of May 31, 2010, Cedar
The Tyler Place is really a wonderful place for families. The staff has been extremely accommodating and kind. Our twins were a little overwhelmed but the staff (especially Brooke) were so patient with the boys. ” — J & B, Cranston, RI, Week of May 31, 2010, Farmhouse Down
Good atmosphere for families. Great attention to detail and every need was taken care of. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Even as grandparents we found plenty to do to occupy our time - it was a treat watching our grandchildren enjoy their programs and their overall visit to The Tyler Place. ” — J & S, Fairfax, VA, Week of May 31, 2010, Farmhouse West
I was hesitant coming because I am a single mother, but I felt right at home as soon as we arrived. The staff went out of their way to make my family at home. All I have been saying this entire trip is ‘wonderful!’ Thank you! ” — S, Gilford, NH, Week of May 31, 2010, Inn #2
The Tyler Place is a great place for a family retreat. Great programs to entertain the toddlers and the excellent staff made it possible for my wife and I to enjoy time, not only together, but also individually in our areas of interest. Great facility, awesome staff, outstanding execution! Thanks! ” — M & U, Pembroke, NH, Week of May 29, 2010, Whistler
After a long plane ride and exhausted children (and parents), it was great to be met at our cottage by the Parent Helper. Everything about The Tyler Place is about balance. It will be the first vacation I don't have to go home needing a ‘vacation from my vacation’. We loved it!! Can't wait until next year. ” — R & J, San Juan, Week of May 28, 2010, Tyler South
When we come here, we feel like we are coming home. It is now familiar and comfortable and yet each year we try new things. Our son, in the Juniors now, is so independent, and we love witnessing his excitement. What makes it so special is coming back and seeing the Tylers and our friends from previous years and making connections with new friends. This week is the perfect combination of tranquility and fun. ” — W & S, Atlanta, GA, Week of May 28, 2010, Mallard
We’ve been on a lot of vacations, but the staff here were the most friendly and engaged we've ever experienced. The Tyler Place was an absolute paradise, both for us and our kids. We had to drag them out of the Playhouse every day. ” — T & A, Holly Springs, NC, Week of May 28, 2010, Ferncroft C
We loved everything! The kids' programs are fantastic and the grown up programs are, too! We love catching frogs with Nature Dave and Pottery Class with Sarah and Michele. There is so much to do and we can't wait to come back and do it all again! Thank you so much for an amazing vacation! ” — C & B, Summit, NJ, Week of May 28, 2010, Popcorn
The Tyler Place once again provided the ultimate family vacation. The absolute perfect place to relax, make friends and watch your children have the time of their lives. The staff is incredible, the activities unbeatable and the food is out of this world. Without a doubt, my absolute favorite week of the year! ” — P & J, Carlisle, MA, Week of May 28, 2010, Inn #5-6
The Tyler Place is a wonderful place to relax and have fun for the entire family. The children's activities are great and the kids love it. Parents get much needed time to spend time together and with other adults. ” — G & S, Lexington, KY, Week of May 28, 2010, Laura
Coming here year after year is very much like coming home. We are welcomed with warmth and embraces and every need is met beyond expectations. Thank you for another wonderful experience. ” — M & P, Bedford, MA, Week of May 28, 2010, Inn #103
We all had an amazing long weekend! The biking was so much fun, the children loved all of the activities and the food was first rate! Thank you, Tyler Place! ” — M & M, Niskayuna, NY, Week of May 28, 2010, Ferncroft F
Compact, as in everything is at hand, yet I was able to roam out to find what suited me. Nice, hilly bike rides. When I came back there was a nice, roomy, cool place for one to do a cool down work out and within minutes my little sweetie-pie had me available to harass at her heart's content, then be off to her activities. And my wife had a long stretch of quiet time to prepare a presentation she had to prepare. ” — N & S, Watertown, MA, Week of May 28, 2010, Inn #2
My girls loved the variety of their group activities. I'm a single parent and very resistant to leaving my girls with anyone I don't know. But it was my girls, ages 6 and 2-1/2, that showed me they wanted to go. The staff is great and I felt very welcome as a single parent here. Everyone is very laid back and welcoming. ” — R, Little Rock, AR, Week of May 28, 2010, Quail
1. Excellent kids program. 2. Rest for mom and dad. 3. Great food. 4. Friendly Tylers. 5. Exceptional effort of staff. ” — B & C, St. Petersburg, FL, Week of May 28, 2010, Bayview
Perfect balance of family time and kid/parent dedicated time. The Tyler Place makes it easy regardless of ages and number of kids in your family -- much appreciated and unique. Loved the bike community. ” — M & B, Hoboken, NJ, Week of May 28, 2010, Cedar
Each year, as we return to The Tyler Place, we realize the value of our family vacation here. After finishing a relaxing yoga class, I walked down to meet my husband on the archery range. I remember looking up at the Junior Clubhouse and starting to cry. Our son enjoyed his time there climbing, playing and bonding with his friends. These memories will stay in our hearts forever. ” — G & R, Topsfield, MA, Week of June 28, 2010, Inn #4

The Tyler Place is the greatest place on earth. It is the only vacation we have ever taken as a family that both parents and kids get to do everything they want and have a fantastic time doing it (or doing nothing!). ” — F & J, Providence, RI, Week of May 31, 2010, Carriage House II
As with most people who stay here, I'm not ready to leave at the end… ” — L, Milford, CT, Week of May 31, 2010, Farmhouse Up
Very nice concept that The Tyler Place has perfected over the years. We are looking forward to year #3. If possible, please add iron-on/sew-on patches to the gift shop. Our daughter collects them. ” — J & J, Hanover, MD, Week of May 31, 2010, Ferncroft D

Our stay was better than we could have expected -- despite the rain. We were initially hesitant about not eating with our kids, but soon realized this is just a brilliant concept. ” — D & L, Northboro, MA, Week of June 5, 2010, Lakeview
We continue to come here to spend quality time as a family. We love the fact that we can maintain the balance between being together while also having the freedom to do things apart. The fact that our son enjoys camp so much keeps us coming back. We have made good friends here that we look forward to seeing yearly. We enjoy the scenery and the activities Tyler Place has to offer. LOVE the sandwiches at the very end (Saturday). ” — M & B, Versailles, KY, Week of June 5, 2010, Inn #104
The friendly, accommodating staff, endless activities, gourmet food and beautiful, convenient location make this as close as it comes to a perfect family Tyler Place vacation. The Tyler Place has been a tradition in my husband's family since the '80's and we are happy to continue the tradition with our family. ” — M & D, Providence, RI, Week of June 5, 2010, Popcorn
We love the food and the chance to unwind with and without the kids. ” — R & J, Ellington, CT, Week of June 5, 2010, Tyler Up
This is an amazing, beautiful place - came here as a kid and I will bring my own here someday. The kids’ programs are terrific. The activity options are almost endless…and even when rainy - there is nature to observe and family to enjoy. I love all the improvements, but The Tyler Place still has the same soul. ” — T & K, New York, NY, Week of June 5, 2010, Inn #5-6
We loved staying at the Inn. It was super convenient for our two seniors and gave us even more free time. All staff and counselors were great as always. ” — J & A, Naperville, FL, Week of June 5, 2010, Inn #117-118

We had a wonderful "1st" stay at The Tyler Place and will come back again. Thank you for your wonderful programs! ” — J & M, Magnolia, DE, Week of June 5, 2010, Inn #2
We found The Tyler Place on TripAdvisor and came based on all of the 5 star reviews. We left excited to post our personal 5 star review. This was the perfect getaway for a family with young children. My husband and I had tons of time to enjoy each other knowing that our children were having a ball. We took advantage and enjoyed the programs offered, but we also appreciated that they were very accommodating for those days you just need family time to enjoy together. ” — J & M, Columbus, OH, Week of June 5, 2010, Pintail
I am continually impressed with the young staff members at The Tyler Place. They are some of the most friendly, cheerful and positive role models that I have ever encountered. Several times in the past years, I have been in charge of hiring high school and college age young people and I know firsthand how difficult it can be to find young people who are simply willing to show up for work every day! But the young T.P. staff members impress me every day with their "can do" attitude, kindness and affection for the children and genuine smiles. ” — K & M, Mahomet, IL, Week of June 5, 2010, Mallard
This was our fifth year and we love it here more every time. The Tyler Place is simply a part of our family's life that we look forward to at the start of every summer. ” — J & S, Oak Hill, VA, Week of June 5, 2010, Ferncroft A
This was our second year at The Tyler Place and we had even more fun than last year. Fun to see so many familiar faces plus we met many new friends. Our older son talked about his group all year and was thrilled to be back at the Clubhouse again. Great job, Tyler Place! We all had a blast! ” — S & E, Naples, FL, Week of June 5, 2010, Park
Once again, we have been so thrilled with the staff, activities and food! Tyler Place offers our family the perfect break/vacation and family time all-in-one! Walt Disney has really missed the mark on how to build a family vacation destination. ” — J & R, Carmel, IN, Week of June 5, 2010, Franklin House II
The Tyler Place, unlike Disney or other family vacations, is a vacation for both the children and the parents. The Tyler Place staff relieves all the stress from the week allowing both parent and child time to relax and unwind. ” — M & T, Groton, CT, Week of June 5, 2010, Sandpiper
As usual, it was a fantastic vacation and we look forward to our next visit. We've looked and there really isn't anything else quite like The Tyler Place. They have thought of everything! ” — G & A, Spring, TX, Week of June 5, 2010, Tyler South
It was nice not having to worry about whether the children were well cared for or entertained. The kids literally ran every day to group! The food was also great, especially the cocktail hour food. Also, the evening meals were lovely, well prepared and tasty with obviously fresh ingredients. ” — J & H, Apex, NC, Week of June 5, 2010, Redhead
We had a fabulous time as always. We loved the variety of activities, the camaraderie of the guests, and the extremely pleasant and helpful staff. We have found The Tyler Place to be the perfect spot for our families to travel to and from various parts of the country and meet for a fun, relaxing reunion. P.S. And loved, loved the chocolate citrus tart! ” — N & D, Everett, WA, Week of June 5, 2010, Teal
We loved everything about The Tyler Place. As first-timers, we appreciated the balance of family time and adult time. The children wanted to go to camp every single day and made a lot of new friends. The Infant Center was great and made me feel very comfortable. We all tried a lot of new activities and have made a lot of new friends whom we hope to continue to keep in touch with. ” — S & L, Lake Ozark, MO, Week of June 5, 2010, Cedar
We absolutely loved the energy of the staff of the children's programs. They fully engaged each child, knew their names, made them feel like every day was a party! The food was better than we could have imagined, so fresh and delicious, wonderfully presented! ” — W, Hollidaysburg, PA, Week of June 5, 2010, Carriage House IV
The trip was very rejuvenating for parents and the kids had a blast -- what a great combo! We appreciated the wonderful service and impressive attention to detail. ” — J & K, Portsmouth, NH, Week of June 5, 2010, Ferncroft F
There are enough activities for all to enjoy -- the knitter, the avid biker, the reader, the snoozer, the boater, the socialist, the yoga enthusiast, etc., etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our fireplace and used it practically every night. ” — L & S, Sugar Land, TX, Week of June 5, 2010, Elmwood West
Like the good variety of activities, like it that you can do a lot of strenuous activities or relaxing activities or both. Like how friendly and mature the staff have been to us. ” — J & S, The Woodlands, TX, Week of June 5, 2010, Bayview
We had a great time as adults, but even better was how much our kids loved it, especially our six-year-old. She does not want to go home. ” — D & M, Sarasota, FL, Week of June 5, 2010, Laura
I love planning and taking vacations and this is the absolute best trip we take. There is nothing to compare it with. The kids love it and they try so many things we never thought they would do. The friends we have made here are truly genuine. We have been here four years and we expect to come back for years to come. I hope someday my kids bring their kids here and we can come as grandparents. ” — M & P, Collierville, TN, Week of June 5, 2010, Stork
Great rainy day backup activities! ” — K & K, Millis, MA, Week of June 5, 2010, Goose

We had a great time. The countdown for next year has already begun. 51 weeks to Tyler Place!

— A & S, Phoenix, AZ, Week of June 5, 2010, Ferncroft D
On most family vacations, we are ready to go home after a week and need a vacation from our vacation. At The Tyler Place, we are not ready to leave and wish we could stay indefinitely. We are not ready to return to "the real world" and look forward to our next visit to The Tyler's Place. P.S. Your kids’ programs are excellent. Thanks for a great 10-year anniversary. ” — S & H, Apache Junction, AZ, Week of June 5, 2010, Inn #115-116
It's like camp for the whole family. Best vacation ever. ” — D & E, Milford, CT, Week of June 5, 2010, Whistler
Our six-year-old cried the entire ride back to the bike shop to return her bike. She fell in love with The Tyler Place, as did we. Thank you for all the memory making moments! P.S. She's not crying anymore…just counting the days until next year!

— B & J, Tampa, FL, Week of May 31, 2010, Elmwood West
Great staff, great facilities and great food. Kids were both so happy that we didn't feel like we were cheating them - a real vacation from being the family cook, dishwasher, laundress, meal planner, shopper, activity maker. Kids really seemed so much more grown up! Loved time with my husband and biking, hiking, kayaking, climbing wall, zipline, waterslides on the lake, Champagne Cruise… ” — K & J, Stamford, CT, Week of June 12, 2010, Kingfisher
Our third year and we still love every minute. It is incredible how much the Tylers and staff make you feel welcomed and genuinely happy that you are here. Great job! ” — F & K, Durham, NH, Week of June 12, 2010, Hickory
We have had a wonderful time – a great family vacation. I came without my husband, who had to work and I was a bit nervous about being a 'single', but it was so easy to meet people. The staff made sure I always had a group to dine with so I never felt awkward. Setting is just stunning. No phones and no TV - PERFECT! We will definitely be back. ” — P, Charlotte, NC, Week of June 12, 2010, Mrs. T's
Thank you. Keep up the good work! Another great week - 20 years says it. ” — L & D, Bala Cynwyd, PA, Week of June 12, 2010, Willow
We enjoyed our stay and did things we've never done before. Our 5-year old said, ‘I do not want to go back home’. ” — J & M, Winston-Salem, NC, Week of June 12, 2010, Inn #103

It has been a joy to us to have our entire family, children and five grandchildren and one expected in January, whom I am pretty sure has been just as entertained and delighted as her/his mother. There were activities for all, wonderful Parent Helpers for the youngest and lots of Adirondack chair time for the older and wiser. We all look forward to a return with a new addition. ” — R & S, Shreveport, LA, Week of June 12, 2010, Farmhouse West
We had a wonderful fourth year at The Tyler Place! ” — N & B, Aurora, CO, Week of June 12, 2010, Woodduck

It was a great mix of fun for all members of the family. The staff was wonderful as always. Thanks for a wonderful vacation! ” — E & C, Vedra Beach, FL, Week of June 12, 2010, Inn #1
The Tyler Place is a home away from home, except it has better food, everybody's always happy and there's more to do! ” — L, Tucson, AZ, Week of June 12, 2010, Lisa
It truly is a great vacation for both kids and adults. When you take your kids on vacation, it's often a vacation for just the kids and you come home feeling like you’ve worked harder than ever. At The Tyler Place, you and your children have a great time and you can have a great time without your children because you know they are well taken care of by the great counselors and are having a great time on their own! ” — C & K, St. Charles, MO, Week of June 12, 2010, Sandpiper
The entire family enjoys their time at The Tyler Place. There is a wealth of activities supported by capable, caring and competent staff. The lack of TV's, radios, cell phones, etc. is quite a plus in our mind. The food is great and provides another venue for us to visit with and get to know other guests. ” — T & M, Radnor, PA, Week of June 12, 2010, Popcorn

We (kids and adults) had a great vacation. The Tyler Place exceeded our expectations. Thanks for a great week! ” — J & M, Celebration, FL, Week of June 12, 2010, Carriage House IV
The Tyler Place has done it again - another year of firsts for our 5-year old. The first time to hit a bull's-eye on the archery field, the first time to maneuver up the climbing wall (beating his parents) and the first time to ride a bike successfully without the training wheels. Thanks for the great opportunities! See you next June!! ” — B & D, Winston-Salem, NC, Week of June 12, 2010, Inn #104
Where else can an adult have as much fun, if not more, than a kid?! ” — S, Streetsboro, OH, Week of June 12, 2010, Inn #2
This is our 4th year at The Tyler Place and it just keeps getting better. My husband and I get into total relaxation mode and our girls have a blast meeting counselors from around the world and trying new activities. Our 4-year old conquered the Zipline and water slide this summer and our 8-year old loved the independence of going to and leaving group each day. Wonderful to see their confidence bloom as they achieve new personal milestones. ” — M & E, Winston-Salem, NC, Week of June 12, 2010, Inn #117-118
Our third year at The Tyler Place was awesome…in fact, all the years spent here were awesome. Great place for our family of 12 - grandparents to grandkids and their parents. Thanks! ” — C & B, Bradenton, FL, Week of June 12, 2010, Gander

After four years at The Tyler Place, our 6-1/2 year old twins felt so comfortable here. It is truly like a second home to us all. The children talk about T.P. all year long. We live near Disney and are there often, but The Tyler Place is still their favorite place to go. ” — J & W, Sarasota, FL, Week of June 12, 2010, Park
Everything is easy! Signing up for a sitter in the evening is the easiest thing in the world - wow! Staff is extremely friendly and upbeat and helpful. ” — A & M, Brooklyn, NY, Week of June 12, 2010, Carriage House II
After dinner on Saturday night we were ready to commit to another week next year! Everything from the biking, awesome children's programs, delicious dinners - to all of your fun outdoor activities, we couldn't have imagined a better place to vacation. Our Pre-Teens couldn't wait to go to group each day and we really enjoyed the break from kids at dinner. We rarely get a babysitter so it was a treat to have a relaxing dinner with other adults. The staff was very friendly and made our stay even better. We are sad to leave, but happy we'll be returning! Thank you for one of the BEST vacations we've had in a long time! ” — M & K, Sudbury, MA, Week of June 12, 2010, Ferncroft D

— C & S, Tampa, FL, Week of June 12, 2010, Teal
Great staff and great food. Everything the reviews said - keep it up! Enjoyed interacting with counselors in the evening. You can really tell they enjoy their jobs and the kids. Great mix from all over the world. ” — D & L, Hickory, NC, Week of June 19, 2010, Inn #101
This was our 7th year and it never gets old. We look forward to this week all year. Thank you! ” — A & J, Bethesda, MD, Week of June 19, 2010, Gander
As always, it was a great week. Even the weather cooperated. Our son is now 13 and we wondered how he'd like the 'Teens' program. He loved it. It is a very special community of true 'family' that you have here and after 10 years, that's what brings us back. ” — D & I, Brooklyn, NY, Week of June 19, 2010, Cedar
Hector was kind enough to order my husband a particular bourbon he likes. The Tyler Place is truly an oasis in the craziness of our lives! We also appreciate Sam Tyler rescuing us when we swamped our canoe. Yes, we all had fun with it, but bottom line - it was embarrassing and could have been bad (the current was really bad and fast) - but he quickly sprang into action and remained jovial despite the fact that we made him really work. We've always enjoyed Sam's easygoing manner, but he proved to be carrying on the Tyler values of hard work and excellent customer service when we really needed it. ” — S & J, Churchville, MD, Week of June 5, 2010, Ferncroft E
In an increasingly constrained world, The Tyler Place lets children (and their parents) soar free! ” — M & S, Chicago, IL, Week of June 19, 2010, Farmhouse South
This is our 10th year and was as magical as any we have had. This is the happiest and most indispensable week of the year for all four of us. ” — A & R, New York, NY, Week of June 19, 2010, Partridge I
After 11 trips to The Tyler Place we still love every minute of every day. Our kids make friends from all over the country and new ones every year to go with ones they made years ago. The counselors are what make it special - whether for our 20-month old daughter or for our 12-year old son, they always make every kid have the time of their lives. ” — B & L, McLean, VA, Week of June 19, 2010, Whistler
What a wonderful place for a family vacation! The children were well taken care of and happy. I am a retired teacher and I feel the activities you had planned for all ages were outstanding. I liked that we all had physical activities like walking or riding bikes to and from activities and meals. It was a joy to see children involved in activities instead of TV and other technology devices being the focus. Thank you for making this a very healthy environment for all. ” — M, Lead, SD, Week of June 19, 2010, Farmhouse West
Staff, staff and more staff - everywhere they are superb, friendly, helpful and the kids love the counselors. ” — S & K, Toronto, Ontario, Week of June 19, 2010, Farmhouse West

From our 7-year old: 'I love the counselors and swimming!' From our 10-year old: 'I loved the arts & crafts and every year I enjoy the lake tramp.' Thank you for another great year - Tyler Place is addictive! Whatever we need or ask for, the staff finds a way to make it happen. We feel very well cared for and once again had a fabulous time. ” — M & K, Washington, DC, Week of June 19, 2010, Tyler Up
This is our 2nd year and we find The Tyler Place relaxing, friendly and a place to truly escape 'normal' life pressures. Our son was looking forward to this year and is even looking forward more to next year's visit. He made special friends he hopes to see next year. All the staff is friendly, courteous and most of all, great with our son. Thank you for such a wonderful place and we look forward to next year. ” — K & S, Andover, MA, Week of June 19, 2010, Inn #104
Lots of things to do - great adult classes! Easy to meet other adults, but would have been nice to do organized events as families. Good accommodations, so fun to bike everywhere. Good workout room. Arts & crafts for teens were great. ” — G & R, Scotts Valley, CA, Week of June 19, 2010, Fer
We enjoyed every minute of our stay. It was the perfect mix of time to myself, time with my husband and time as a family - all with the added bonus of never having to cook or clean all week. The Tylers have it figured out! Good service, great food, a beautiful location and lots of opportunities to have fun and try new things. ” — B & R, Sudbury, MA, Week of June 19, 2010, Butterball
Best kept secret for family getaways. A wonderful mix of exercise, adventure, relaxing and quality family time, the social interactions were very energizing and rewarding. Can see why so many families make Tyler Place a lifelong tradition. ” — M & S, New York, NY, Week of June 19, 2010, Stork
What a fabulous experience. The concept is fantastic. Our kids absolutely loved it. The independence level of my 7-year old rose considerably during our stay. My kids' interaction with such a great group of kids made considerable strides in changing his personality. There is so much diversity. The Tyler family is great. What a warm group. They obviously love what they do. Everyone is so helpful and friendly. Thank you. ” — J & K, Richmond, VA, Week of June 19, 2010, Laura
After six years of coming to The Tyler Place, we are once again amazed at how content all five of us are. Tyler Place is a well-run oasis for our family! ” — E & T, Englewood, NJ, Week of June 19, 2010, Woodcrest
Every year The Tyler Place is the best week of our year. ” — B & K, Acton, MA, Week of June 19, 2010, Lakeview
One of the highlights of being a 5-year returning guest is the enjoyable guided fishing trips provided by Captain Gil of Martin's Store. The fishing activities are a mainstay of my husband's adult activities. I also enjoyed the water aerobics with Patsy and the beading with Gige. (Thank her for all her patience!) The children are truly enamored with The Tyler Place. From their newfound friends to conquering water challenges (water skiing) they are on cloud nine and want to relocate to The Tyler Place. ” — E & K, Shrewsbury, NJ, Week of June 19, 2010, Popcorn
The best vacation ever. Every meal was fantastic. Everyone on staff was helpful and friendly. A vacation where everyone had the most relaxing time and our children have a wonderful lasting memory! Thank you. ” — D & M, Oakland, IA, Week of June 19, 2010, Elmwood West
When we asked our daughter what she thought, she said ‘wonderful’. Everyone is perfectly nice. It is a whole other world up here this one week. Thank you to the Tylers - one and all - we are enormously grateful to you for providing a one-of-a-kind respite for us over the years. You cannot know how it sustains us. Our son loves his time here. ” — R & M, Fairfield, CT, Week of June 19, 2010, Davies

I'm always sad when the best vacation ever is over! My children love this place and plan to be guests until they are teens and then work as counselors when they can! We always have so much fun. And again, The Tyler Place exceeded all our expectations. ” — D & D, Greensboro, NC, Week of June 19, 2010, Inn #102
We are speechless at the care and handling by all your staff towards us. ” — R & F, New York, NY, Week of June 19, 2010, Inn #1
I enjoyed having help getting the kids to group - counselors were excellent! They mostly enjoyed their groups and by the end of the week had an easier time because they looked forward to their activities - the schedule helps a lot! I enjoyed not cooking, doing activities knowing the kids were having fun - eating with other families - getting guilt-free exercise & fun. It is the last resort for the vacation-challenged! ” — P & A, Wellesley, MA, Week of June 19, 2010, Hickory
The Tyler Place is a vacation for everyone in our family. We each love it for different reasons. We'll keep coming back! ” — M & M, Basking Ridge, NJ, Week of June 19, 2010, Kingfisher

We are so grateful to The Tyler Place for exposing our children to a wonderful, old-fashioned way of life. Our children experienced such an array of activities in one short week. Their excitement, independence and enjoyment made our long trek worth it! Thank you! P.S. You spared no expense when it came to food…lobster, prime rib, beef tenderloin…WOW! We will be talking up The Tyler Place to all our friends. ” — M & H, Thousand Oaks, CA, Week of June 19, 2010, Elmwood East
We enjoyed the activities and the opportunity to do nothing much. My kid learned to ride a bike, which was a big thrill! ” — D & M, South Orange, NJ, Week of June 19, 2010, Inn #103
Not only did The Tyler Place exceed our expectations regarding the programs for children (under age 5) and adult entertainment - but the staff was beyond exceptional. They knew everyone's name by day 2, had exceptional manners and went out of their way to help, recommend and explain…I really appreciate that they are not all in staff uniforms, but rather sporting their own style and flair. Our kids seemed excited when they saw their counselors out of class and vise versa! ” — P & M, Orinda, CA, Week of June 12, 2010, Stork
Always a great vacation and always something new to try. This year the food was excellent (more so than usual). And always great to see our boys stretch themselves socially and independently - though we hardly saw them this week, except when the promise of water-skiing was offered. It was great to see them learn something new and grin about it! ” — D & D, Washington, DC, Week of June 12, 2010, Canvasback
We had a wonderful week. It felt good to return for a second time - we hope to keep coming back year after year. We like so many things about The Tyler Place. Great activities for both kids and adults, some of our favorites: Nature Walk w/Christopher, water-skiing, golf, card magic on the screened porch and yoga. The food was great as well. Hard to resist the desserts! Bayview was a great accommodation. All staff was friendly and always helpful. Looking forward to next year! ” — T & E, New York, NY, Week of June 12, 2010, Bayview
Idyllic. Could not be better. ” — D & J, Tucson, AZ, Week of June 12, 2010, Lisa
We loved all of the adult alone time! We hadn't eaten by ourselves since our baby was born and that was worth every penny! Your staff was exceptional and so friendly. We truly enjoyed the relaxed family feel. ” — B & K, Hoboken, NJ, Week of June 5, 2010, Davies
Grandpa had a wonderful time and loved playing ping-pong in the teen lounge with the kids (my 37-year old husband). The grandparents loved seeing The Tyler Place 24 years later. My dad commented to my mother, 'This is a wonderful place to take our kid'. He turned to me and said, 'You’re still our kid even though you are 37'. My parents enjoyed seeing Ted again. They loved breakfast. They loved seeing Jenna singing Sr. Midget songs just like their youngest had done 26 years ago. ” — T & C, Kent, OH, Week of June 27, 2010, Willow
Another great year - tried something new - low ropes! Would never have tried it anywhere else. The Tyler Place exposes my daughter to activities she would otherwise never have a chance to do! The staff was excellent. We had another amazing Tyler Place vacation. We're hooked! ” — M & J, Boulder, CO, Week of June 26, 2010, Park
The Tyler Place epitomizes the best of summer. Nowhere else can the entire family enjoy the luxury of a lakeside resort with the playtime and camaraderie of a sleep-away camp. The activities are fun for everyone, whether you enjoy a relaxing paddle in a canoe, swinging gently in a hammock or hurdling yourself down a mountain on a bike. The food is amazing and the pleasure of adult conversations over meals is a bonus that many of us only dream of in our normal lives. The people here are genuinely friendly and nice from the Tyler family to the kids' counselors, from the guests to the housekeeping staff - everyone can talk together and everyone is welcome. The smallest infant to the oldest guest can find something they enjoy and the newest guests and experienced guests mesh together in this open and friendly atmosphere. Each day I drag my children away from their groups because their counselors and activities and new friends are so much fun. Thank you, Tylers, for once again providing us with the perfect vacation. We can't wait to come back next year! ” — D & A, Hampden, ME, Week of June 26, 2010, Franklin House I

We started coming here when our youngest son was three and his brother and sister were in college. For the past seven years we've come with our youngest (now 25), his sister and her son (now 9). Next year it will be the entire family - our three kids and two grandchildren. Can't wait - only 51 weeks to go! ” — J & L, Troy, NY, Week of June 26, 2010, Franklin House II

We appreciate the care and thoughtfulness the Tyler family has put into this resort making it the best one for families to bring their children. The whole place is meticulously kept and we can see that each year more upgrades and renovations are put in. I have introduced The Tyler Place to many of my friends and relatives. ” — E & S, Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong, Week of June 26, 2010, Inn #1
I was a guest here as a child from age 2-3/4 to almost 17. The improvements to the kids' facilities are amazing! I love the new playgrounds, lake trampoline and pool slides! This experience has been truly magical for me, watching my daughter share in the experiences of The Tyler Place and remembering all the wonderful childhood summers I spent here. Keep up the good work! I love the international staff here, too! ” — L & B, Webster, NY, Week of June 26, 2010, Farmhouse South
The attention to detail is very impressive, whether it is in design of the activities or the meals. The staff is very well trained, genuinely friendly and committed to problem solving. 'No it can't be done' is never the reaction to reasonable requests. ” — R & K, Ottawa, Ontario, Week of June 26, 2010, Inn #103
This is our second year at The Tyler Place and it was even better this year. Never thought that was possible. Everything is well thought out and the smiles on the faces of the entire family make the 7-hour flight worth it. We hope to come for as many years as The Tyler Place will allow. Thanks!! ” — W & S, Scottsdale, AZ, Week of June 26, 2010, Popcorn
My husband and I had a terrific time. Our kids did as well. Both my husband and I enjoyed the low ropes course - we were outside our comfort zone just enough to make it a very memorable experience. After the third day our 4-1/2 year old was asked, 'Do you want to come back?' She looked up in bewilderment and said, 'I'm never leaving'. We absolutely had the time of our lives! Better than our honeymoon…no planning, no fuss, no problem!! ” — M & S, Cohasset, MA, Week of June 26, 2010, Hardack
This was a vacation that cannot be compared to any other…it is the perfect mix of family and 'alone' time, and there are endless things to do. The food was surprisingly EXCELLENT! It was magical - thanks for the experience. ” — R & M, Doylestown, PA, Week of June 26, 2010, Canvasback
We had a great time! The kids enjoyed the many activities and were exhausted at the end of the day. As parents we loved all of our options as well - the organized activities and the things we could do on our own. Great memories… ” — D & M, Oakton, VA, Week of June 26, 2010, Woodcrest
Everything about The Tyler Place exceeded our expectations, with the exception of the accommodations. We prefer and are accustomed to more upscale. This is really the only thing that would hold us back from returning. The best vacation our kids have ever had! ” — J & M, Scottsville, Ontario, Week of June 26, 2010, Tea

Once again (our 4th time here!) we had a marvelous time - best vacation spot you can imagine. ” — C & M, Oak Park, IL, Week of June 26, 2010, Partridge II
If you're a parent, you are known everywhere in your life as ‘so-and-so's (fill in your child's name) parent/mom/dad.’ Except here. The magic of The Tyler Place is that you get to know the other adults (and be known) as a person first, and a parent second. Adults get to socialize and have fun guilt-free, because their own fabulous time is exceeded only by how much fun their kids are having. ” — C & C, Lincoln, MA, Week of June 26, 2010, Butterball
We're sad to leave. It was a great vacation. Definitely unique! ” — B & B, Atlanta, GA, Week of June 26, 2010, Davies
This is a unique experience that we all enjoyed very much. In particular, the adult meals, children's activities and adult activities were all well planned and excellent. Finally, the feeling that you have knowing that your children are well cared for and having a great time, while you and your spouse enjoy an abundance of 'free time', is truly priceless. Highly recommended! ” — J & A, Moon Township, PA, Week of June 26, 2010, Inn #2
Being from California, we know there are many beautiful places to visit and this is definitely one. The Tyler Place's well-thought out schedule, activities, counselors, Mother's Helper, and other details allowed us (adults) to do things and enjoy the company of others in ways we normally don't. This was the best family vacation ever. ” — J & A, Berkeley, CA, Week of June 26, 2010, Farmhouse Down
We first came to The Tyler Place because it was the only place we could find that would give my husband, a 'stay at home dad', and me both a break from full time work and childcare. Our son continues to love the great activities for children while we continue to enjoy some time off along with time with family - now including my parents and brother: five adults and one child love The Tyler Place! ” — L & L, North Salem, NY, Week of June 26, 2010, Bluebill

It would be interesting to poll the counselors, parents or kids as to who had a better week - I think it's a tie. Great job, Tyler Place!! The Tyler Place's model of a family resort cannot be duplicated anywhere else - its history adds to the magic of a fabulous family vacation. Don't waste your money on Disney - this is truly a magical vacation for all. Our son's growth in spirit, ability at new sports and food testing in one week is remarkable. 52 weeks and counting already. We love The Tyler Place. ” — T & C, Ringoes, NJ, Week of June 26, 2010, Tyler Up
We have been coming to The Tyler Place for nine years and it is the vacation that everyone in the family, all seven of us, looks forward to…so much fun and great activities for everyone and the staff is awesome! ” — M & J, Weston, MA, Week of June 26, 2010, Farmhouse West
We enjoyed the independence our grandchildren experienced - a feeling of nostalgia for us of how children could be out and about on their own. ” — A & J, Rockville, MD, Week of June 26, 2010, Ferncroft D
All staff was great, but really enjoyed Becky's tours (took three). Chad is excellent! Tour was great, encouraged mingling first night, always available and spent 15 plus minutes giving us advice about dinner in CA. Very nice, helpful, great guy. Water skiing was great. Dock staff is terrific and helpful. ” — R & K, Rockville, MD, Week of June 26, 2010, Carriage House II
A well-oiled machine in all regards. Totally surprised by the brilliant food. Great staff, great facilities, great opportunities, great system, balancing organized/freedom. Well done! ” — A & J, Brooklyn, NY, Week of June 26, 2010, Inn #102
Loved Dennis' cooking demonstration - great sense of humor, passion for cooking and left with some excellent suggestions that husband will appreciate in meals to come. Boys again loved the kids' programs (Pre-Teens and Juniors) - couldn't wait to go to camp each morning. We love allowing them some independence in a safe environment. New chef is terrific - as always, looked forward to meals. Now we have to go home and reconnect with the less than 5,000 calories/day world! ” — D & A, Edmond, OK, Week of June 26, 2010, McGlynn

If you don't love The Tyler Place, you're crazy. Forget cruises. Forget family trips to islands. Forget family amusement parks. This is the real deal for anyone who truly wants a week of memorable relaxation. That's why people like us come back year after year after year. And that's why we spend 51 weeks of the year looking forward to this week. There's something here for everyone - any age, any interest, athletic, non-athletic - you name it. And there's no 'all-inclusive' that can touch the wholesome, locally emphasized food. Our 5-year old asked if we could stay here forever and I told her why we couldn't. But she could tell my heart just wasn't in it. I wanted to agree with her. ” — J & L, Cherry Hill, NJ, Week of June 26, 2010, Willow
We had a wonderful time, once again (our 3rd year). Definitely the best children's programs anywhere! We will definitely return next year! ” — D & L, Wilmington, DE, Week of June 26, 2010, Ferncroft F
We always appreciate it when our week at The Tyler Place comes around - our daughter is ready for fun at Tyler Place after a year of school and we, as parents, look forward to reconnecting with our T.P. family and friends as well as meeting new people. It's the only time we don't mind getting up early and having a wonderful breakfast and going on our 'adult' activity. Every year the food just gets better and better. We can't believe it can as it's wonderful, but it does. Thanks! ” — S & C, Windsor, NJ, Week of June 26, 2010, Ferncroft C

Great things. Great food. All Nature Dave activities and all Christopher McBride activities, Brett's Amazing Race sounded really fun, Pirate adventure for little kids sounded great. The staff in general was delightful. Banana boat rides were greatly enjoyed, as were the paddleboards. Staff attitude: courtesy and helpfulness - was excellent. Andrea B. is a great masseuse. I thought the kitchen 'kicked it up a notch' this year, with interesting new dishes. ” — P & K, Orinda, CA, Week of June 19, 2010, Farmhouse Down
We just love this place! We cannot say enough good things about our experience here, other than we can't wait to come back next year. Our daughter, who is 13-1/2, is now talking about how she wants to come back and work here when she is older and she is already making plans to return when she has a family. We are hoping she will include us when she comes! ” — J & H, Manlius, NY, Week of July 3, 2010, Mallard
I came here as a single person and was very pleased to feel like I could do my own thing without needing a 'partner'. There were plenty of activities to keep myself busy and what was great was I challenged myself to try new things! I also got to meet very friendly, fun-loving, engaging people from all over! From the moment we pulled into our accommodation (Gander) and saw two men hard at work in 90 degree heat building a wheelchair ramp for my daughter, I was floored. They actually ripped down the existing stairs to do this. Service like that is unheard of these days - but not at The Tyler Place. We can honestly say nothing negative about our stay at all. The staff, activities, food (oh my, the food) children’s activities - all exceeded our wildest expectations. This place is a dream come true. ” — S & I, Bellerose, NY, Week of July 3, 2010, Gander
The Tyler Place is a one-of-a-kind vacation for young families. The staff is totally there for you and the program is set up in such a way that everyone is having loads of fun, whether it be strenuous activities or calm down time. Mason from the Waterfront was an excellent water-ski instructor. All staff was excellent. ” — S & S, White Plains, NY, Week of July 3, 2010, Tyler Up
What an excellent place! We enjoyed ourselves tremendously. This is the first vacation we've had in the last six years where we will actually go home well rested! It was so great to know that our three small children were having the time of their lives while we relaxed, water-skied, swam in the lake, played tennis and ate three delicious and peaceful meals daily! Well done, Tyler Place! ” — B & S, Needham, MA, Week of July 3, 2010, Franklin House II
I was first attracted to The Tyler Place because it seemed the children's programs were of a very high quality, particularly the way the ages of kids are divided up and the ratio of counselors to kids (on top of the great facilities and scheduled activities). It wasn't until I experienced my first few days here that my husband and I realized that the adults are also very well taken care of! The food is outstanding - of course we knew meals were included, but we didn't realize there would be healthy choices, imaginative menus, well prepared meals using many local sources. We have been delighted at every meal. The adult staff has also been very friendly. We can tell that the staff really wants to please. We are also impressed with the accommodations: all in all we felt well cared for. We also love this area - this is so much better than a cruise! ” — R & J, Havertown, PA, Week of July 3, 2010, Ferncroft E
Our Tyler Place vacation exceeded our entire family's expectations and hopes…it was a dream vacation beyond compare. A Tyler Place vacation is the only vacation for our family moving forward. Thank you! ” — W & T, Myersville, MD, Week of July 3, 2010, Butternut
As always, we had a great stay at The Tyler Place! After several years of coming over the Memorial Day weekend, we finally came for a full week. We enjoyed the canoe trip with Dave, yoga with Lucie (my husband's first yoga experience!) and the pontoon ride with Chris. The food was fantastic and we were able to enjoy ourselves and relax. Thanks! ” — J & K, Belmont, MA, Week of July 3, 2010, Carriage House III
We were very happy with how well the kitchen handled our daughter's gluten-free diet. They truly did an exceptional job not only giving her appropriate alternative foods but foods that were similar to the great cuisine we are used to here. We would definitely recommend The Tyler Place to other people on gluten-free diets. ” — R & L, Arlington, VA, Week of July 3, 2010, Carriage House IV
Summer camp for adults and kids - but you get to go together instead of having to wave goodbye for a week or more. All the safe, outdoor, no technology fun that is so hard to find these days. Counselors are great with the kids and they obviously enjoy what they do. A pleasure to meet and talk with an international college-age staff. The fact that the staff and guests keep returning says it all. ” — R, Portsmouth, NH, Week of July 3, 2010, Elmwood East
This is a unique place - a wonderful, idyllic setting, a fantastically warm welcome and a family ethos that extends from the family who own it to all the staff and the guests. It would be really hard not to have a great time here with all of the activities, good company and great food and just enjoying the natural beauty. Even though we have to cross the Atlantic to get here, we'll be back! ” — S & C, Paris, Week of July 3, 2010, Goose
After five years we are still discovering new things about The Tyler Place and did activities this year we never did before. This place makes for some wonderful memories year after year. ” — R & S, Westfield, NJ, Week of July 3, 2010, Davies
Excellent food - healthy and fresh. Great kids’ programs. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Fun activities/challenging/great to push comfort levels. Loved biking around. Beautiful, well maintained grounds. ” — J & A, Hamden, CT, Week of July 3, 2010, Carriage House II
Excellent children's programs - younger kids get TLC, older kids get supervision with freedom to be independent, too. Great staff, especially in the kids' programs. Beautiful property and excellent food. ” — C & A, Nassau, Week of July 3, 2010, Lakeview

My kids had a better time the second year then the first and I didn't think it was possible! The activities are age-appropriate but fun and a little different. It is so nice to have all my children be so happy for a whole week. Not one complaint ever! ” — S & A, Wellesley, MA, Week of July 3, 2010, Champlain
We had a wonderful time from start to finish. The combination of kids’ programs, family time, adult-only activities, a beautiful camp-like setting and plenty of time to relax and/or be active made for an absolutely perfect vacation! The food was delicious - we really appreciated all the healthy options along with the decadent ones. Can't wait to come back! ” — C & E, Brooklyn, NY, Week of July 3, 2010, Franklin House I

We love being here and are tearful at the thought of leaving. Your formula works remarkably. Our kids experience freedom and nature here at The Tyler Place which is unlike the rest of their year growing up in Manhattan. Food was consistently fantastic. The grounds are beautiful. Keep up the excellent work. ” — S & M, New York, NY, Week of July 3, 2010, Park
This was the best vacation ever. Perfect balance of being with and away from family. Most INCREDIBLE vacation I have ever been on! (I'm 42 years old.) The counselors are so great with kids. Always polite, upbeat and FUN! Enjoyed hanging out with them. ” — P & S, Brentwood, TN, Week of July 3, 2010, Laura
The food was excellent and the staff was friendly and very accommodating. ” — S & N, Bluffton, SC, Week of July 3, 2010, Canvasback
We had such a wonderful week. Our Sr. midget had a blast. There is no way the rest of her summer will live up to this week! And mom and dad loved the down time, meals and new friends. ” — P & A, Brooklyn, NY, Week of July 3, 2010, Woodduck
We were thrilled to finally find a place where mom and dad get to have as much of a vacation as the kids. What a relief to know the kids were having a ball doing all kinds of fun, active and unique activities so we could relax, be active and so totally guilt-free. If our picky eater could survive a week here, anyone can. The counselors did a great job - they must be exhausted at night. I loved the chance to try new things and talk with people I instantly knew I had stuff in common with. Very helpful for those of us who are less social. ” — K & T, Mooresville, NC, Week of July 3, 2010, McGlynn

Absolutely loved our stay. The facilities and equipment I used are in great shape. My Parents’ Helper was fantastic. ” — W & R, Newton, MA, Week of July 3, 2010, Ferncroft B
We love the schedule. We think the counselors are really important and do a great job with the kids. We also liked the time to be active for the adults - tennis, riding, hiking, swimming. We had a great time again! ” — Z & A, Severna Park, MD, Week of July 3, 2010, Willow
Perfect family vacation - year after year. Kids have really bonded with their peers this week. ” — E & L, Washington, DC, Week of June 19, 2010, Tyler North
Our favorite foods: kids' mac and cheese, melon soup, cannelloni, pots du crème. ” — C & A, Washington, DC, Week of June 19, 2010, Tyler South
Very friendly. The childcare/child programs were fantastic! The kids were busy, enjoyed the variety of activities and LOVED the bicycles. That you offer a climbing wall for kids (4 to 5 year olds) is also great (can't find any at home!). Truly, very impressed, a top-notch establishment. Wonder why we haven't come before?! ” — R & T, Salt Lake City, UT, Week of June 19, 2010, Teal
This was, by far, the most fantastic vacation I've had! It was the perfect balance of family time, time for me and time for us as a couple. Everyone was so nice. It was great fun to meet so many like-minded people. Thank you so much to the Tyler family for keeping the tradition going. We all had a blast and can't wait to come back. ” — J & S, Stratford, CT, Week of July 3, 2010, Inn #5-6
We did not know what to expect at all! After settling down a bit after the first night, being 'shell shocked', we easily settled into a very comfortable, flexible routine with our Parent Helper. We enjoyed many of the scheduled activities and time relaxing on our own. We got to meet and talk with many other guests both new and returning, during the week. We feel the quality of the time spent with our 8-month old (versus quantity) was crucial to this week being a truly wonderful one. ” — C & H, Westford, MA, Week of July 10, 2010, Quail
This is our second year here and we had an even better time than last year! Excellent weather, staff and food. Activities for our kids were perfect, we met new friends and caught up with the old ones. We're already making plans for next year. ” — R & L, Centreville, VA, Week of July 10, 2010, Carriage House II
I wish we had found this place when our 13-year was younger! Our daughter loves her one-on-one counselor, but in hindsight, I'm not sure hiring a one-on-one did much good. Our daughter still just sat and watched a lot of activities, or chose an alternative (ride in the boat instead of banana boat), which she could have done without a one-on-one. ” — G & M, Nashua, NH, Week of July 10, 2010, Inn #7-8
Thanks for another great vacation! Bonfire at Raake's Point was very nice. ” — A & C, Hanover, NH, Week of July 10, 2010, Kingfisher

As a repeat guest, it's so great to know that when we come to The Tyler Place we'll have a great time, regardless of the weather. The activities, food, kids' programs, staff and other guests truly make The Tyler Place a one-of-a-kind vacation experience! ” — J & A, Franklin, MA, Week of July 10, 2010, Inn #104
Staff is great. Whether we were in the dining room, dropping our kids off, stopping by during house cleaning, attending an event or going to the waterfront, there was not a single staff member who failed to make us feel warmly welcomed and genuinely at home. They are really a professional, friendly and happy bunch. ” — M & A, M & A, NY, Week of July 10, 2010, Ferncroft B
Your family runs a great resort. Your quality and attention to detail are inspirational to us fellow business owners. Thanks! As new guests to The Tyler Place, we found all the staff and guests to be very welcoming and helpful. The staff goes out of their way to make us feel at home. Quality is apparent in the service, the food, the activities and the entertainment. Our 11-year old boy thoroughly enjoyed his group and slept very well at night. A one of a kind experience. Adults can do as little or as much as they like while kids partake in activities trying new experiences - arts/crafts, gardening, horseback riding, fishing, hayride, pool. The adult evenings are relaxing and filled with friends and great food. ” — F & K, Red Hook, NY, Week of July 10, 2010, Carriage House III

After learning of The Tyler Place on the Internet and reading about the mix of supervised camp activities for the children and separate adult meals and activity time, we thought, 'this sounds way too good to be true.' Believe it - it is true. It's the PERFECT blend of time alone for couples, time together as a family and great organized and supervised camp activities with same- aged peers for the kids. Everyone enjoys this vacation. ” — C & M, Houston, TX, Week of July 10, 2010, Inn #4
The Tyler Place is the perfect mix of a family/couples vacation. We have enjoyed all of the activities offered and time to ourselves. Our kids loved being with their groups from day one. We really enjoyed getting to know the Tyler family and all of the staff from around the world. It's been fantastic fun and our kids have met staff and families from everywhere. Will definitely make coming to The Tyler Place a family tradition. ” — T & K, Elmhurst, IL, Week of July 10, 2010, Inn #101

A real treat for parents. I felt very spoiled and looked after during our stay. Excellent staff. ” — R & J, Holywood, Week of July 10, 2010, Partridge II
The Tyler Place provides the ideal elixir to all that ails us in our otherwise over-scheduled existence. We unwind, decompress and come back together as a couple, while our children take a blissful journey into a lifestyle they've only read about in tales of Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn. ” — R & J, Atlanta, GA, Week of July 10, 2010, Lakeview
Can't think of a better place to keep our large family all happy. We were amazed at how much the staff pro-actively worked to meet our needs and make sure our kids were happy! We had a great time and made great friendships. ” — S & C, Batavia, IL, Week of July 10, 2010, Carriage House IV
This was our first summer with two young children. We all had a great time. My social husband met everyone and enjoyed all the activities, and I got to read books in every possible venue. Our 4-year old son learned to swim! And our 2-year old overcame her separation anxiety! Yay! ” — J & P, New York, NY, Week of July 10, 2010, Hardack
For the past two years my spouse has been unable to accompany us. Yet I've never felt uncomfortable or unwelcome at any events. This year I arrived recovering from surgery on my left ankle. This site is a challenge, which could use a few more improvements. However, the support and encouragement of your staff was invaluable. A maintenance guy gave me rides on his golf cart; the activities staff allowed me to participate in programs (climbing wall, Duckman) and continuously offered help and assistance. It was terrific and I had a great time this week. Thank you. ” — D & E, Bethesda, MD, Week of July 10, 2010, Inn #1
'The whole place is awesome.' ‘It was better than I thought it would be.’ (Comments from our kids.) ” — T & L, Valparaiso, IN, Week of July 10, 2010, Whistler

This was our 4th year at The Tyler Place and it continues to be the vacation of our dreams. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and special. On the second day my 6-year old daughter asked if we could come back again this summer. We have watched them make new friends, learn new skills and gain confidence in themselves. At the same time, my husband and I have gotten some much-needed time together, have met wonderful people and laughed more than we have all year. We love The Tyler Place and are already counting down the days until we come back. ” — C & S, Harvard, MA, Week of June 26, 2010, Lakeview
As usual, our stay at The Tyler Place was amazing and created so many terrific memories for our family. Our children talk about their Tyler Place friends and memories all year long and look forward to it so much it's like our 'Christmas in summer'. They begin bubbling over with excitement as our T.P. vacation date approaches and explode with happiness and excitement when that familiar Tyler Place sign is in sight. While witnessing our children's joy and merriment is wonderful, we parents look forward to our week here with equal (although more contained) enthusiasm! One might fear that this kind of build up and the high expectations might leave one vulnerable to disappointment, but not at The Tyler Place. We are never disappointed - in fact, we always leave with great expectations for the next summer and the anticipation is already beginning to build. This is such a special week for us - remembering the wonderful memories we made as children, honoring the special times and memories made here with our parents and continuing the tradition with our own children. Thank you, Ted, and all the Tylers. P.S. This year marked 40 years since our first visit in 1970 and it's as wonderful for our kids (and hasn't changed much!). ” — S & C, Bethesda, MD, Week of June 19, 2010, Willow

Everything is 'thumbs up'. This has been one of the best vacations ever for us. A special wish to Chad, Patsy and Lachlan - they are exceptional folks. (All staff are great, of course.) We usually travel and visit foreign countries. This stay has been wonderful and is very complimentary to traveling. It is cool, well-organized, friendly, caring, etc…yes - we'll be coming back next year and look forward to it and so are our kids. Again, it will be the right start to visiting the region. ” — L & G, Merseilles, Week of July 17, 2010, Inn #102

One of my favorite parts of The Tyler Place is the screened-in porch off the lounge. It's stunning to do yoga or Nei-Kung or even just read in a room surrounded by fresh air and trees. (I heard a rumor that you might consider closing it in - don't, please! It's so wonderful as is!). ” — E & P, Oakland, CA, Week of July 17, 2010, Partridge II
This place is a treasure. The children's programs are so inspired. There is nothing like it anywhere. ” — D & B, Brooklyn, NY, Week of July 17, 2010, Ferncroft C
Just a small anecdote that sums up the place: our 5-year old son is crazy about pirates and sailing ships and was ecstatic over the cruise to pirate island. Upon his return he spied the pirate skull and crossbones flag flying on the antenna of the van that a staff member was driving. He looked wistfully at it and told the staff member that it looked like a great flag. The counselor took the flag off the van and gave it to my son. He is still delighted with it and won't stop talking about the nice man who gave him the flag. It's just one of the many ways the Tylers and their staff here exceeded our expectations. ” — P & J, Newton, MA, Week of July 17, 2010, Partridge I

An idyllic summer camp for the whole family…protected 'couples' time for parents and action-packed adventures for kids. There is no place like The Tyler Place. A full-service resort that caters to each age group while preserving the slow, unhurried pace of yesteryears. No TV's or phones mean families can relax faster and explore the fleeting pleasures of the lake, nature trails, biking, swimming and other wholesome pursuits. Parents LOVE the adults-only dining and the many social activities that allow for close friendships to form in just one week. As usual, this was the perfect vacation for the entire family! Each year we try something different. The boys gained so much confidence in their bike-riding skills this week, and their favorite family time activity was going to the pool/splash pad - next year will be our 'lake' year. What we appreciate most of all is how graciously your staff accommodated our sons’ special dietary needs, from Mindy calling last week to see what they like, to the counselors' updating us on what the boys ate at each meal. We knew they were well taken care of (and I had 20 blissful meals without them!) Thank you, thank you! ” — G & K, Redding, CT, Week of July 24, 2010, Carriage House III

Having gone through a divorce last year, the kids and I were talking about where to go on vacation this summer. My daughter suggested The Tyler Place and my son ENTHUSIASTICALLY agreed. It's been a wonderful week for all of us. For me, coming back as a single parent was challenging. I was planning on holding back from being a 'fifth wheel' but the very first night Chad introduced me to some people and I've made some great new friends and haven't felt out of place at all. I've relaxed more this past week than in the past three years. We've all voted to come again next year. This was very therapeutic for me and marvelous for my kids. ” — D & M, Wickford, RI, Week of July 31, 2010, Partridge I

The staff is incredibly accommodating and service-oriented. ” — J & M, Northborough, MA, Week of July 31, 2010, Ferncroft E
Just wanted to note that Jenna, a 'Juniors' counselors, was very helpful to us. My mom and dad came for a visit and my mom became ill when we were picking up our two 'Sr. Midgets'. Mom sat down in the 'Junior' room and wasn't able to get up or leave. Jenna waited over 40 minutes (during her break) and continually offered her help to us. My mom was finally able to get into our car and eventually recovered. Jenna was very kind and helpful, even when she was supposed to be 'off duty'. She has our gratitude and I hope a pat on the back from the Tylers. ” — D & E, Washington, DC, Week of July 31, 2010, Elmwood East

This summer was even better than last year, which didn't seem possible. Our kids couldn't wait to get to group. This is the best vacation ever had! ” — M & K, Wayland, MA, Week of August 7, 2010, Tyler North

The Tyler Place continues to amaze us with the magical formula of fun, friends, family and frivolity that has only gotten better and more familiar after 14 visits! (Pardon the alliteration.) ” — S & P, Armonk, NY, Week of July 24, 2010, Bayview
Thanks to the camp counselors for doing the thankless job of effectively applying sunscreen and bug spray on the children. Our son did not get sunburn or a bug bite the entire week! ” — R & K, Fairfax, VA, Week of July 17, 2010, Inn #2
This was our second year and we loved it even more this time. The kids remembered last summer and were so excited as we were driving in this time - pointing at all the things they were excited to do again. And there is so much to do, that we got a chance to experience our favorite things from last year, but still got to also try a bunch of new things. Don't know how you do it - but when we come to The Tyler Place we feel like we are going on our favorite vacation of the year but also feel like we are coming 'home'. ” — R & M, North Andover, MA, Week of July 17, 2010, Inn #115-116

The Tyler Place fosters independence in our children - they love the freedom that they have here. Our Pre-Teen would check in with us after morning camp and then he was off - biking, going down to the lake with his friends. Even our 8-year old would explore the grounds independently as well as with his friends. We never worried about their safety and just looked forward to hearing about their adventures at the end of the day. ” — O & L, Chapel Hill, NC, Week of August 14, 2010, Gander
We really had a great week. We were worried when our son got sick early in the week, but the Front Desk found us a great sitter to stay with him while he was out of group. When he was back in group, the staff did a great job engaging him. We met a lot of wonderful people and can't wait to come back next year. ” — J & A, Hanover, NH, Week of August 14, 2010, Chestnut

It was similar to returning to my childhood. I enjoyed my playtime with my peers (adults). I discovered again how to trust my body to overcome my fears (I learned to ride a bicycle at age 47!!) - just because the atmosphere in here is so conducive to learning more about oneself, learning how to connect to others. My 7-year old daughter was walking everywhere by herself so comfortably, she called it everyday: 'the best day of my life'. ” — P & E, Great Neck, NY, Week of August 14, 2010, Inn #1
We've had two summer vacations at The Tyler Place - 2009 and 2010 - and both were spectacular. For parents with children, it is hard to imagine a more perfect place. The Tyler Place is a great concept, flawlessly executed. ” — S & K, Rockville, MD, Week of August 14, 2010, Carriage House I
I read two books (so far) this week - two more than I read all year. The only distraction was a nosey chipmunk and a couple of butterflies! After a horrendously hot and humid summer, the blue skies and cool breezes were a blessing. Thank you, Tyler family, for the delicious meals and the deep, restful sleep I have enjoyed all week! ” — B & J, Woodbury, NJ, Week of August 14, 2010, Ferncroft E

Thank you!! ” — S & W, Huntington Beach, CA, Week of August 14, 2010, Cedar
At The Tyler Place you don't feel like you get nickel and dimed - pretty much everything is included and any extras are reasonable and disclosed. With three young children, the concept of a vacation is elusive, but this was the closest we have ever come to having one! Beautiful setting, a wonderful array of activities for kids, adults and families, and a hard-to-quantify magical quality - we really, really enjoyed ourselves! One final note: T.P. did not feel corporate at all like so many other places and we appreciated the level of personal freedom we were afforded (your 5-year old can do archery if you want!). ” — S & J, New York, NY, Week of August 14, 2010, Quail
Thanks for another terrific summer adventure! ” — J & E, Brookline, MA, Week of August 14, 2010, Butterball

We had yet another great year at The Tyler Place. We made new friends and reconnected with old ones. We did all of our favorite activities and tried a few new ones. The waterfront was fantastic - we loved the paddleboards and the new Summit Express. The tennis activities were tons of fun. The kids had a blast, too. My daughter loved the Pre-Teens’ activities, especially the bike trip. The Friday ice cream cart was a huge hit. Please bring that back next year! ” — C & E, Huntington, NY, Week of August 14, 2010, Sandpiper
We are extremely impressed with the service and attentiveness of the staff - across all areas and aspects. ” — T & N, Bethesda, MD, Week of August 14, 2010, Goldeneye
Our kids were as happy as they could be during our trip. Our 9-year old loved hustling off to the Seniors’ club in the morning and had great stories to tell upon his return. Our 4-year old adored her counselors and they worked hard for her affection. The counselors were top-notch. Absolutely great kids who seem to love what they're doing. In fact, ALL the staff was fantastic, without a single exception. The people really make this place a fabulous resort (and the beautiful surroundings don't hurt!). And because our kids were happy it was easier for us to jump in and enjoy the guest activities. Nature Dave and Sam Tyler were great companions on our hikes, kayak trip, sporting events, etc. ” — K & M, Bethesda, MD, Week of August 14, 2010, Inn #101

The staff was amazing!!! They were all friendly, warm and extremely helpful. ” — M & D, Miami Beach, FL, Week of August 7, 2010, Franklin House I
Blake and John at the Bike Shed deserve the highest accolades, epitomizing The Tyler Place ethos of 5-star service without pretentiousness. They fixed my personal road bike shifter cable in one hour, a job that does NOT come under their job description with graciousness, friendliness and professionalism. My bike functioned BETTER than before! Their efforts made my vacation that much better because I didn't have to find a bike shop somewhere in the area and forego my bike rides. They symbolize what The Tyler Place is all about. John (overnight desk clerk) is wonderful - we're early risers and he was fantastic. In the Dining Room, Sergio and Saule were wonderfully professional. ” — W & M, Newton, MA, Week of August 21, 2010, Inn #115-116
The Tyler Place makes a wonderful family vacation. The kids are going to their camps where they are cared for by loving playful counselors. Because the kids are so happily occupied (and fed), the parents have plenty of time to enjoy a wide range of great activities. Family time offers plenty of relaxing or organized fun. We can't wait to come back. ” — K & K, Westport, CT, Week of August 21, 2010, Popcorn
The Tyler Place is an absolute treasure - a place where time stands still and adults and kids can re-appreciate the simple pleasures in life: friendship, family, food, the outdoors and being active. My kids were in Heaven every waking moment and my husband and I were able to reconnect, make new friends and basically be adults (not just 'mom and dad') again. The entire staff is AMAZINGLY wonderful - always cheerful, accommodating and helpful. I was utterly impressed that NO detail is overlooked. ” — P & L, Wellesley, MA, Week of August 21, 2010, McGlynn

Love the sense of community! Love the breaks in day and variety of activities. Love the outdoor options. Kids loved independence. ” — R & D, Bethesda, MD, Week of August 21, 2010, Lisa
So appreciated the lack of sales pitches for additional fee activities. Word of mouth by guests is all that's needed and was very pleasurable. Every staff member is professional, flexible and warm. Events and activities run so smoothly and very high quality! Food excellent, fresh ingredients, nouvelle cuisine offerings. Very clean facilities and in good order. Gorgeous lakeside setting, so green. Enjoyed sense of the history of the resort and all around family legacy. Loved that we all get bikes and bike to everywhere on the grounds! The Tylers have so much to be proud of with this resort - rare level of quality, especially for such a large operation. ” — A & D, Sherman Oaks, CA, Week of August 21, 2010, Inn #103
The best vacation for every member of our family. The kids have fun, gain independence and make lasting friendships. As parents, we play. We laugh, we reconnect and ultimately we unwind. Our 3-year old started crying when we told her we were returning home. She had assumed we had moved to The Tyler Place! She said she wanted to go back to the Playhouse every day. ” — A & K, Chevy Chase, MD, Week of August 21, 2010, Laura
As our kids get older, The Tyler Place only gets better. We thought nothing could beat having a program that kept a 2-year old happy. After three years there are still plenty of things I (we?) haven't done yet. The organization and staff have depth. Yet, they are remarkably 'flexible' and that is the sign of a thinking organization. We will be back, as usual, and we constantly recommend this vacation to all our friends. I don't think there is any other group (church, store, website) that we actually recommend to anyone. ” — M & S, Sabillasville, MD, Week of August 21, 2010, Elmwood East

I think we've got at least another year in us - see you next year! ” — K & L, Larchmont, NY, Week of August 21, 2010, Park
We really love The Tyler Place. It has been an amazing nine years. We thought 'for sure' this would be our last year, but by midweek we began contemplating how we can return. Our son presents a problem for us because he doesn't want to return without a friend as a teen. What we know is that The Tyler Place is a very special place - you do an extraordinary job and are a unique gem. We know that our daughter definitely wants to be back. Our task is to work out the details. Nature Dave is AMAZING! ” — T & K, Montclair, NJ, Week of August 21, 2010, Inn #117-118

Great time! Thank you! Loved the 'adventure' approach rather than the over-protective approach many places take. ” — S & J, Robbinsville, NY, Week of August 28, 2010, Inn #7-8
My husband found The Tyler Place while searching the Internet for a family resort that had programs/activities that our nearly 2-year old could take part in. We had the entire website and looked up travel websites. Based on the excellent reviews, we decided to book the trip, despite the 22-hour drive from our home near St. Louis. We made the cross country trek up here and without hesitation, would say it was worth every mile. This place has mastered the art of the family vacation. There is plenty of family time and tons of family activities available. The children's programs are well organized and varied. Even our 2-year old had a different activity each day, including toddler yoga. The adult time was wonderful, whether my husband and I participated in an organized event or just spent time alone. Our Parents' Helper, a recently graduated college student, was fun and enthusiastic as well as mature and confidence-inspiring. ” — A & J, Smithton, IL, Week of August 28, 2010, Carriage House I
We had a great week. The kids loved camp. There was time for everyone and everything - time alone with spouse, time with friends, new and old and time with kids. The food (and desserts) was delicious. We loved it. ” — M & E, Milton, MA, Week of August 28, 2010, Inn #102

The opportunity to re-unite with your partner, meet new friends, get exercise and spend quality time with your family is only the tip of the iceberg at The Tyler Place Two extremely unique aspects of the family camp experience at The Tyler Place are the all-adult meals as well as the Tyler family's insistence on both guests and staff treating everyone with the utmost respect. ” — P & L, Brookline, MA, Week of August 28, 2010, Carriage House IV

Friction-free family vacation! ” — R & S, Morristown, NJ, Week of August 28, 2010, Partridge I
Year four and we love it as much as ever! ” — M & Z, Brooklyn, NY, Week of August 28, 2010, Winnie's
The staff were all great, counselors were wonderful with the kids. The place is beautiful and the food is delicious. ” — P & L, Arlington, MA, Week of August 28, 2010, Inn #101
Another wonderful year at The Tyler Place! All five kids were kept busy and happy while mom was NOT busy and very happy. Dad enjoyed tennis, fishing and poker. We are content. ” — T & K, Rye, NY, Week of August 28, 2010, Willow
The Tyler Place is a well-oiled machine and it's clear that all the little details have been thought through. We will be back again next year. Our kids have their group activities where they form friendships and stretch their horizons. The adult activities are fantastic - we played tennis, golf, went mountain biking, water-skiing, canoeing and also had time for some reading and relaxation. The Tyler Place is very well run. Other resorts can't match this one in terms of providing a warm, fun-filled environment that the whole family will enjoy. It's a true gem that we feel lucky to have found through friends. ” — M & K, Arlington, VA, Week of August 28, 2010, Bluebill
This was a much-needed wonderful vacation for all five of us! We did things we hadn't done in decades! We will definitely be back year after year. ” — J & E, Vienna, VA, Week of August 28, 2010, Davies
A great family vacation! My son and daughter want to know why we can't stay longer and when are we coming back? ” — J & K, Ridgewood, NJ, Week of August 28, 2010, Inn #104
We had a wonderful time. There is truly nothing like this anywhere else out there. We would like to travel and spend our vacation in other places, but with young kids, anywhere else we might go would be a lot of work. Our Parents' Helper was amazing. Thanks for the wonderful memories. ” — J & J, New York, NY, Week of August 28, 2010, Woodduck
We have been here for 7 years This is the highlight for summer. It just gets better and better. Our children have grown up at The Tyler Place. This is like a family away from home. The guests are incredibly fun and interesting and true camaraderie develops over the week. Our children are now at an age where they can connect with other kids their age and we'll have a friend pop by to knock on our screen door in the morning asking to walk them to group. We LOVE this place. What would summer be without this true vacation for the whole family? ” — E & A, Brooklyn, NY, Week of August 28, 2010, Kingfisher
You all think of everything! ” — M & D, Rockville, MD, Week of August 28, 2010, Quail
This was our second year and The Tyler Place did not let us down. We love the adult time and activities and the children enjoy their groups so much. In our house we call it 'Camp Vermont'. Thank you for another great vacation! ” — J & M, Arlington, VA, Week of August 28, 2010, Ferncroft E
What makes The Tyler Place so great is (1) the staff and (2) the great variety and number of things to do for adults, kids and families. ” — A & D, West Roxbury, MA, Week of August 28, 2010, Inn #103
Relaxed family resort with wonderful meals, activities and facilities. A fabulous opportunity for three generations like ours to spend time together AND do our separate 'things'. The kids all loved their groups: Seniors, Juniors and Sr. Midgets. The adults did things in various combinations and then had dinner together at night. One generation stayed late for jazz and the other for DJ Dance Night - all loved Broadway Sing-a-long. ” — S & L, Waltham, MA, Week of August 28, 2010, Carriage House III
I love everything! 20 kid-free meals - what more can we say?! ” — E & D, New York, NY, Week of August 28, 2010, Popcorn
This was a true family vacation for everyone. Our kids had an amazing time and the whole week was an adventure for them. The staff was phenomenal. We've never been so relaxed on a family vacation… ” — J & J, Tenafly, NJ, Week of August 21, 2010, Hickory
Next year will be #8 - need we say more?!? ” — F & M, West Newton, MA, Week of August 14, 2010, Willow
We enjoyed spending time together as a couple knowing our young children (ages 4-1/2 and 9-months) were not only well cared for, but extremely happy - playing and making new friends - while we were apart from them. My daughter caught her first fish, mastered riding her bike up and down hills and tried her hand at rock climbing! ” — A & M, Ithaca, NY, Week of July 31, 2010, Chestnut
The Tyler Place was very organized and guest-focused. We liked meeting our Parent Helper and our cabin when we arrived. The staff was great at helping new guests break the ice with other guests. ” — M & K, Waterville, OH, Week of September 4, 2010, Carriage House I
Truly enjoyed ourselves. Grounds and facilities are great but this place wouldn't be the same without your STAFF. Boat hands, lifeguards, counselors, everyone…don't cut corners on your staff. Whatever/however you do this - don't change. Great job finding these people. Appreciated moderately priced alcohol. ” — B & N, Malvern, PA, Week of September 4, 2010, Champlain
I found my time at The Tyler Place the most relaxing and fun vacation that I have taken with my family. ” — P & D, Rochester, NY, Week of September 4, 2010, Lisa
It's a high school summer camp without the cliques and with a wonderful group of supportive parents with common interests and who are easy to meet and socialize with! ” — K & B, Ft. Gordon, GA, Week of September 4, 2010, Ferncroft C
Enjoyed all of the sporting events. Skeet shooting, archery, kayaking, golf (more please), baseball, rock wall, disc golf… ” — A & S, Upper Darby, PA, Week of September 4, 2010, Elmwood West
Our son declared after our first day at The Tyler Place that it was, 'better than Disney World' and asked if we could live here forever. ” — J & R, Old Greenwich, CT, Week of September 4, 2010, Partridge II
The staff was amazing! Most energizing and yet relaxing vacation ever. The programs for the kids and the counselors were wonderful. By day #2 it felt like a week's worth of vacation - wonderful! ” — J & T, Lebanon, OH, Week of September 4, 2010, Carriage House IV
Everything was fantastic! Great cottage, excellent food, superb staff, variety of activities, fantastic new friends. We've been so busy, but still feel so relaxed - 21 meals without the kids is the best idea ever! ” — W & G, Ottawa, Ontario, Week of September 4, 2010, Goose
This was the first time since having kids that I have had a TRUE family vacation. It was so nice to relax without the kids yet spend some good quality family time together. ” — L & M, Ft. Collins, CO, Week of September 4, 2010, Laura
Best vacation and great opportunity to meet other families. ” — C & M, Lowell, MA, Week of September 4, 2010, Butterball
The Tyler Place provides a great balance for families to spend great time together and then explore their own interests. We really appreciate Dale taking time to give our son one-on-one archery instruction. ” — S & J, Spruce Plains, NC, Week of September 4, 2010, Lisa
We treasure our new annual tradition at The Tyler Place! Thank you for staying true to the original concept so we can have the vacation our parents had at The Tyler Place in the 70's - time together, time alone, and opportunities for all of us to do fun things we never get to do at home…especially escaping from beeps, tweets, and the stresses of daily life…coming to a place where time indeed moves more slowly - a week here feels like two weeks anywhere else! ” — K & K, Newton, CT, Week of September 4, 2010, Sandpiper
This was our second year at The Tyler Place. We enjoyed ourselves once again. We felt that this year was really fun in terms of all the great people we met. We also learned that it was fun even when it rained, so we know we don't have to worry about the weather in future years. The staff was fabulous and the kids' programs were great! ” — T & N, Wellesley, MA, Week of September 4, 2010, Teal
Absolutely best family vacation!!! Everything we wish for from kids' activities to adult activities. Highly recommend it to all our friends and family. Zumba was an excellent addition to the adult activities this year (thank you for that). ” — W & Y, Huntington, WV, Week of September 4, 2010, Kingfisher
We do think this is a great place but, unfortunately, were not able to enjoy our stay to the fullest due to lack of staffing for Parents' Helpers/one-on-one. ” — D & D, Old Greenwich, CT, Week of September 4, 2010, Lakeview
Childcare staff are fantastic. Food is outstanding. Activities were very enjoyable and well planned. ” — J & D, Waban, MA, Week of September 4, 2010, Franklin House I
Staff: the most accommodating, helpful staff I've ever seen anywhere. Cabin: great place to stay. Felt like home away from home. Activities: excellent. Hard to choose between. Yoga: Top notch. Instructor could attract almost anyone into participating regularly. Waterfront: great activities. They make it so easy. ” — D & S, Haddenfield, NJ, Week of September 4, 2010, Bayview
It was very nice to have opportunities to reconnect as a couple and have relaxing time alone. Our son loved all the activities, especially pool time. It was also very easy to meet other couples while on events or at meals. We overheard one little boy say, 'This is better than Disney World'. I don't think you can get better praise than that. ” — J & N, Virginia Beach, VA, Week of September 4, 2010, Hickory
It was nice to be limited on access to the real world distractions like TV, wireless connection. Could really be in another world for a while. Gave a great chance to focus on family bonding, yet not necessarily to be right on top of each other at every moment. Very welcoming staff put me at ease with having 'strangers' camp for my child. ” — A & K, Poughkeepsie, NY, Week of September 4, 2010, Partridge I
The Tyler Place provided the perfect balance of adult time and family time. My husband and I were able to reconnect in a way we haven't been able to since the birth of our son, and we also were able to spend quality time with him in the afternoons, taking advantage of the fun family activities. Great vacation! ” — K & J, Arlington, VA, Week of September 4, 2010, Canvasback
The Tyler Place is the family vacation that actually makes parents feel refreshed, replenished and restored. You take away our daily chores, responsibilities and stresses and allow us to be kids again. We love it here. ” — C & A, Cambridge, MA, Week of August 28, 2010, Lisa
We had such a great, relaxing time and our kids did, too. Thanks! ” — H & R, Mamaroneck, NY, Week of August 28, 2010, Champlain
Three years in a row…and as awesome as ever! ” — B & K, Weston, CT, Week of August 21, 2010, Mrs. T's
When I first read the reviews of The Tyler Place, I thought they were too good to be true. After our first visit (with many more to come), it became clear that The Tyler Place is everything prior guests have said it is and more: the ultimate family vacation. ” — E & K, Dallas, TX, Week of August 14, 2010, Ferncroft F
