The Tyler Place

Cozy, destination family resort with great all-inclusive facilities right on the property.

The property and facilities underscore The Tyler Place's unique duality as one of the top all-inclusive family destination resorts in the U.S. AND as a cozy, intimate Vermont lakeshore cottage community. Tyler Place guests actively help plan annual improvements and purchases to keep our facilities and equipment top-of-the-line. The property however, has remained a country retreat, unspoiled and undeveloped for 75 years with wide-open spaces for children to play, woods and inlets to explore, and private, lakeside outposts with hammocks and Adirondack chairs for parents to reconnect.
"Even after many years of visiting The Tyler Place Family Resort, I never ceased to be amazed at the changes I find each season. I'm not just talking the annual fluff-up of the cottages and the grounds, I'm astounded at the new facilities that are constantly being added." - Dorothy Jordon, Family Travel Times

"Staff was nicer than ever. The grounds are beautiful, especially the gorgeous flowers and landscaping. Our kids had the time of their life - especially the increased freedom over what they have at home. Crafts were great. Very relaxing!" -D & L, Potomac, MD, Inn #101, 8/11-8/18. 2007

"When I read your brochure I thought, 'This sounds too good to be true', but we'll try it anyway. Tyler Place turned out to be everything that was promised and much, much more. We also appreciated the little details around the property like hammocks and chairs in nooks and crannies of the property and lovely landscaping." -L & D, Red Bank, NJ, Carriage House I, 6/16-6/23. 2007

"Beautiful setting. Great facilities. Wonderful people. A+ all around." -S & K, Chicago, IL, Mrs. T's, 8/04-8/11. 2007

"The facilities were great. The food much better than expected. The property is much more beautiful than you could imagine from the brochure. The card trickster was splendid. The minnow races were great fun. We really appreciated the effort that was made to introduce the guests to each other. The group activities were great in this regard." -R & K, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, Inn #103, 6/30-7/07. 2007

"As weekend landscapers, we just wanted to comment on how nicely the grounds are kept. From the freshly painted Adirondack chairs to the beautiful flowers, it's quite obvious that a lot of care is taken to maintain this wonderful property. No doubt you hear this all the time, but your staff is terrific! Everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful." -J & J, Narvon, PA, Sandpiper, 7/01-7/08. 2006

"We loved all the hidden treasures around the property - hammocks, kids activities, trails, zipline, etc. It was fun to discover them. T.P. has really perfected the experience here without having to be 'canned' or 'Disney-fied'. Lovely." -M & L, Menlo Park, CA, Franklin House I, 7/01-7/08. 2006

"Beautiful, well-kept property. Especially loved the waterfront activities. Meals were delicious. Staff very friendly and kind. Fun cocktail parties at the start, which really helped us as a new family at Tyler Place, get started meeting people. We met some lovely families here this week! Also, staff enthusiasm was very much appreciated." -C & N, Brooklyn, NY, Inn #3, 7/29-8/05. 2006
