Tennis & Other Activities

Brush up on your tennis skills in a variety of ways during your week here. Participate in one of our weekly singles ‘tournabouts’ or doubles tournaments, and square off against your fellow guests in some friendly competitive fun. Or, feel free to schedule a private or group lesson with our seasoned Tennis Pro (lessons available for kids, too!). You may bring your own tennis equipment, or use anything you need from our shop. With a variety of tennis courts, you can reserve one anytime for practice or a group match anytime at the Front Desk.

Fitness & Yoga

While health and fitness are built right into the kids’ programs, adults can choose from their own wide variety of all-inclusive fitness and relaxation options. With several offerings throughout the week, a multi-level yoga class taught by the world-famous Lucy is always a favorite. If yoga isn’t your style, warm up your muscles in a challenging aqua aerobics class by Patsy, and get ready to work! Each week also features a different fitness class, where you’re bound to find something you like. Our all-inclusive, low key options can also be complimented by the state-of-the-art equipment in our Fitness & Exercise Center.

Arts & Crafts

Arts and crafts aren’t just for kids. Express your creativity with endless opportunities in the arts & crafts studio or in a pottery class. While our Arts guru Hannah is offering up new ideas and projects all the time, a few of the options that may await you include paper mache, jewelry making, collage work, batiking and tie dying, kiln pottery and clay activities, sculpture and woodworking, and drawing and block printing.

In the Gardens

Join Claudia, our groundskeeping guru (who is truly part herbalist, part gardener, and part craftsperson) for a gardening session where you could learn anything from how to start your own mushroom farm to how to press calendula flowers into a healing oil. Give her a hand harvesting the fruits of our organic garden, and in late August and early September, help her press local apples into a refreshing, sweet cider. She’ll teach you all about her Shaker Garden, Vineyard, and Greenhouses- and don’t forget to try out her line of garden crafted skincare products, Tylers of Vermont, right in our gift shop.

Spa Treatments & Relaxation

Relax in a lakeside hammock, read a book in the lounge, or just go back to bed. Those are just a few of the ways to unwind at The Tyler Place – but nothing say true R&R like a massage or spa treatment. Our professional massage therapists are here to serve you offering a variety of different spa services from Swedish massage, hot stone massage, reiki, and reflexology to pregnancy massage or myofascial release therapy. *With the exception of poolside massages, spa services are an additional charge.

Guest Comments

“As always, you delivered a very satisfying vacation experience for both our son and ourselves with tons of activity options and the perfect balance of family time, kid time and adult time.”

E & J, Seal Beach, CA

“Even with kids in structured programs most of the day, they have a sense of freedom that is tough to find these days. We really enjoyed the adult activities as well and the chance to spend quality time together and to meet new friends.”

Golf enthusiasts can enjoy our driving range, and those less experienced can practice at our mini-golf course. For those who are looking for more, there are a number of nearby golf courses in Vermont and Quebec. Our Front Desk staff can arrange tee times and Tyler Place Family Resort guests have privileges at some of the golf courses listed below, but fees are not included in our family vacation package.

Culinary Arts

Yes, we know you’re here so you don’t have to cook or clean for a week. But with chefs as talented as ours, it’s only fair for us to pass on some of their expertise. Enjoy a cooking or baking demonstration or even a hands-on class at our outdoor wood-fired oven, and take home some new recipes to show off to your friends (fancy outdoor oven not required). Look for opportunities to churn your own butter or hand-made ice cream at weekly family events, too.
