Cozy, simple comfort in the New England tradition. Private cottages. Inn & guesthouse suites.

The Tyler Place’s 72 units are tucked here and there along the lakeshore, the woods, meadows and lawns.  They offer an historic Vermont camp-community feel …without the tents! The Tyler Place also features a rambling, country Inn with a separate sleeping wing with 12 family suites and studios. Immediately upon arrival you’ll feel the community warmth of our Inn, as the hub and center of information and activity at the Tyler Place.

Family-Friendly Inn…
and Romantic Retreat for Parents!

Yes, The Tyler Place Inn really does combine all the features of an all-inclusive, family-friendly Inn as well as a romantic, country Inn for parents and adults. The Inn was designed specifically to meet The Tyler Place Family Resort’s signature mission: its unique balance of family time, couple time, kids’ time, and adult time. Centrally located near the Children’s Playhouse and Clubhouse, the Inn overlooks Edwards’ Bay, gardens, and “Lovers’ Lane” lawn where our grandparents met in 1884.

An Oasis for Adult Cocktails & Dining with Plenty of Family Recreational Space

The Inn’s Fireplace Lounge and Bar with sunroom, porch, and deck seating, as well as the adult dining room, are reserved for adult cocktails and dining and late-evening dances, jazz, and entertainment. After breakfast, curl up with a cup of coffee and a book on one of the many couches or armchairs. In the evenings, grab a board game from the front desk and challenge your fellow guests to a little pre- or post-dinner competition, before enjoying the evening’s scheduled entertainment, whether it’s live jazz music or a more lively DJ set.
The downstairs of the Inn is home to the older children’s recreational centers. These spaces are open to families outside of group time, so you can enjoy the pool tables, ping pong, and shuffleboard with your kids.

Beautiful setting — clean and comfortable cottages — friendly, helpful staff, gourmet food — what more could you want? It’s heaven for kids — pools, banana boats, trampoline, movies, indoor and outdoor pools – everything you can think of – and the hours between 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. are spent with kids their own age, supervised by staff. Adults eat gourmet meals (without children) and have many activities: tennis, biking, water sports, fitness classes, etc.”

“Tyler Family Resort – and yes, this is a resort for families. But this is a vacation extraordinaire for mommy. Not a meal to cook, a dish to clean, a bed to make or shirt to wash. The walk from our cottage to the Inn for meals provided lots of time for my daughter and I to sing silly songs, laugh at the chipmunks crossing our path and ponder where moths sleep at night. But most of all, it helped make some extra room for those great Tyler cookies!”
